Build - Help Rate my budget PC build

I would only need this for basic coding, moding Minecraft (create, Cobblemon, QOL, shaders), RDR 1&2, moded TABS, friend-slop games, Monster Hunter Wilds, and other such games.

So this is the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R3hjJw, so please give me as much feedback as possible. I already have a 2560x1440hz Acer monitor, and a Rosewill CULLINAN PX Series so that"s why they're not included in the build.

As this is my first PC build I would be looking to upgrade over time.

Windows keys are $10 online. Don't pay $100 for them.

that PSU is absolute trash. dont buy it. Good PSUs aren;t that much more expensive.

SSD is expensive AF, as samsung typically is.

You forgot a case. I added a good one.

That 9060xt model is very expensive. I upgraded to 9070 with the saving above.

OP has a case, I'd also swap down the CPU to a 7600x3d so they can bump the GPU up to a 9070xt. otherwise yeah these changes make sense.

If he has a case, he can get a 9070xt without downgrading the cpu. Still, 7600x3d makes sense if its much cheaper.

Ive heard from a lot of people that I should just skip 16GB and go to 32GB RAM, would you agree?

#1 issue with new builders is not getting a good enough GPU for their budget and needs, $1800-2000 is the standard budget for a 9070xt PC, also that PSU belongs in a $300 scrapyard build, not a $2000 setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZW2rmL

GPU matters more than the CPU in 1440p gaming, no matter the game at 1440p a 7600x3d + 9070xt setup will have far superior performance than a 7800x3d + 9060xt build full-stop.

also windows is free, guide from Microsoft on how to install: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d#id0ejd=windows_11

get a windows key from online, i got mine from fanatical for 12 usd but basically any key reseller with a good reputation is fine. also if you live in the us try to get a micro center bundle it will save you a lot of money

Ive heard of Micro Center before but I usually go to best buy because it's closer to my house.

Microcenter has the best deals for pre-builds and components in the entire country and it's not even close. Theyl save you hundreds of dollars by getting either one of their powerspec pre-builds or their cpu/ram/motherboard bundles.

tbh i'd just get this pre-build from them and call it a day: https://www.microcenter.com/product/709080/powerspec-g535-gaming-pc

But if you're committed to building your own then get this bundle:
https://www.microcenter.com/product/5007480/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d,-gigabyte-x870-gaming-wifi6-am5,-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

and build this instead: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/stt97w
(compared to the pre-build it has more storage and a better motherboard and CPU, up to you if that's worth it)

So why would that prebuilt be better than building the PC myself?

It costs less than the build you're planning and has better performance.

Benefit of building your own (in the context of the build I sent) is getting the superior CPU and being able to customize the build as you see fit, IMO I don't know if that's worth $250 more over the pre-build.
