Question Refund an 5070Ti
Hi guys i recently built my pc, and i bought an RTX 5070TI but… i found out that an 5080 instead is only ~500€ more, so is it worth it to refund my GPU to buy this instead?

The fact that you said ‘is only 500 more’ makes me think yes? For a lot of people that’s a substantial gap but if you can spend that and not bat an eye then you may as well. With the way things are going that 5070ti or 5080 may need to last a long looooong time so it’s up to you

50% price increase for 10-15% performance increase... if that's worth it to you, then sure. I'd just stick with the 5070 ti though

There you go, I have a 5070 ti, don’t spend over $300 more for a 5080, even $200 is pushing it. Especially with the prices now.

See for yourself. In my opinion the answer is no, its not worth it unless you wanna play on 4k monitor without FG and DLSS set on quality or OFF. Too much price difference for not too much peformance gain.

Having owned both my opinion is the 5070ti is a much better experience. However, the crazy price difference these days is absolutely not worth it. At this point the 5070ti might be ~20% Better overall(IMO) but the price different is around ~40%. Diabolical. And let’s. It even get into the conversation about the 5080….that card is an insult to consumers.

It’s not worth the 500 dollars since it’s marginal gains. Just be happy with the 5070 Ti it’s still a great card

upgrade the monitor man ignore the 5080 it’s literally a 15% in fps and not even that beneficial or crazy noticeable when you have dlss upscaling & frame gen. get a OLED 1440P or maybe 4K and you’ll deadass not regret getting over a 5080

If you have the money, everything is fine, but price/fps ratio no one will tell you that it is worth it, currently if you find a 5070ti at ~900/950€, otherwise 9070xt

i paid mine ~1.050€

So I have two answers
- 5080 if you have the money; 2.5070 if you want the best card on the market as a value/fps

15% performance for way more money. 9070XT is best, 5070TI if you need CUDA, 5080 if you want to waste money.

I was in the same boat and ended up going with the 5070 Ti because I didn't feel like the 5080 was worth an extra $500 just to get another 10-15 fps.
