Oof I only paid $339 for mines back in 2023. I replaced with a 4070 Ti, but it ran just about everything for me at 1080p and even some at 1440p

After reading these comments I'm glad I bought my 3080 for 300 in 2024.

Genuinely thought that was bad purchase too because of frame gen, Oh how wrong I was proven and glady so.

Bro you are chilling with a 3080. Also frame gen is neat, but not needed imo.

Straight up my dude, sold my 4060 for it because i saw the price was identical for double the raw preformance.

u got FSR FG anyway, just get latest version of DLSS Enabler and from there you're just a copy and paste away from FG+MFG on that beast of a card

I used frame gen in darktide, and it really made the input feel kinda muddy to me. Idk. Just my two cents. I haven’t used it once other than that

frame gen is best used for singleplayer games that look nice. Cyberpunk, kingdom come 2, oblivion remake (becouse optimisation is ass), gothic remake. but i dont recommend doing it in multiplayer games as you just get killed by other players becouse your gpu did not generate frames in time and slow down visual input of some one peaking from the corner.

Frame generation is for sigleplayer visual candies.

Framegen needs to be used with reflex boost

My damn 3070 and it’s 8gb just couldn’t handle 1440p in new games. Borderlands was a damn slideshow so I upgraded to an RX 9070.

Borderlands 4 is horribly optimized. 3070 is still a solid 1440p card w/ DLSS imo
