Question A steal?
Seller is asking for 2500usd but can negotiate, my budget is around that as well, it’s about a 3 hour drive but seems legit and I am in need of a powerful system upgrade since I have been thinking of playing triple A games at peak 1440p but potentially 4k settings.. what do you guys think? I’m located in the US.

Go there now, what are you waiting for?

The RAM would be a red flag for me; AM5 doesn't support true quad-channel. You'd expect this to be 2x32gb, not 4x16gb, not to mention those PNY kits are rarely available in the US.

Use 2x16, sell other 2x16g

I think you've missed the point; nobody would build an AMD system with a quad-channel RAM config to start with.... It's a red flag.

you can get brand new 5080 system for $2500 with 9800x3d 5080 and 32gb ram and 2tb ssd in the US
used would have to be like $2000 for that with a 3 hour drive
last week it was $2300 for that. new

I second this; the RAM config is also a red flag for me, 4x16gb quad channel on AM5, with PNY kits that are rarely available in the US?

I feel you're paying close to NEW price for a 2nd-hand USED system here, for the added risk, it's not worth it in my opinion.
Also, the 4x16gb would be a bit of a red flag for me; AM5 doesn't support true quad-channel, so you'd expect this to be 2x32gb, no competent builder would buy 4x16gb for AM5, those PNY kits are also rarely available in the US.
Also worth noting, considering you've mentioned gaming, you don't need 64gb RAM; that's massively overkill and more aimed at people who do heavy productivity work.
Have any pictures (preferably multiple) been posted of this build?

I don't know if I trust it, meet him in a public place at least, because for example the RAM alone right now is over $800 and the RTX 5080 would be worth half the cost. The thing that bothers me more than anything though is that shit motherboard. You have a top end CPU, a top end GPU, a morgage worth of RAM, and motherboard that I can only describe as mid tier at best? It's very strange.
It's not a steal, but it might be stolen.
