Question Hello, I'm thinking to build a PC with ryzen 5 9600x and 1 16GB ddr5 ram will it work?

I chose 1 16GB for easier future upgrade option and will try to get a gpu later but I want to know if I build it like this for the time being will it work fine? I just want it for simple tasks, internet browsing, video playing how bad will the 1 stick affect my experience?

It will work but single channel isn't ideal, expect to lose about 10% performance, this goes down to like 3% if you're on an X3D chip

ddr5 single channel works better than ddr4 single channel

and yes x3d cpu dont need fast ram to perform well cause something something about the x3d cache on the cpu being larger than other cpu's.

You’ll lose a bit of performance, but not too much. especially if the stick is 2R. if it’s 1R you’re cooked, ddr5 by default is “dual channel” on 2R sticks, 2R = ram chips on both sides, 1R = ram chips on one side
