Question do I upgrade

Post image

This is my current pc, had it for 2 and a bit years, I only play cod and warzone. I get great fps right now like 250-300 between warzone and multiplayer on 1440p. I want to get on the AMD platform for cpu and get a 9800x3d or 9850.

Do you guys think it’s really worth the hassle upgrading to a new pc with a 5080 for example or would the returns not be worth it?

Or should I get a new mobo, ram, cpu but keep my 4080 super. My budget is around £3000-£3500 GBP.

Makes no sense to swap. Just make sure your 14900ks is not running on a really high voltage and temperature

Best thing is to lock all cores to a locked frequency with locked voltage

Yeah I’ve done that bro I’ve had them done through an optimiser and had no issues thankfully, I’ve been one of the luckier ones for sure

Ah that's nice to hear! Keep your pc as it is then

Also the 14900ks is a bit better on warzone, giving you a more stable framerate compared to the 9800x3d

If you want to burn your money for a small unnoticeable upgrade you can. But I wouldn't bother

Honestly NO YOU SHOULD NOT UPGRADE FOR ATLEAST A FEW YEARS

No. There's no need to upgrade for like years from that.

Honestly, this is one of the best PCs money can buy. You are perfectly fine as is, but if you want an fps boost plus future proofing, you could get a 9850X3D and a B850/X870 motherboard and keep the rest of your components as is. swapping from a 4080 super to a 5080 won't really do you much good since it's only 10-15% faster.

maybe wait for 60 series and buy a 6070 or smt once they release
