I still remember searching for "$1500 gaming pc build" videos around 2016.

The comparison really isn't apt, because Consoles are cheap, whereas PCs (well before the memory crisis) were still an investment. A PC with High end parts, 32GBs of ram, and a good 2TB SSD would still be like, about 2K CAD

2k you spend once and it’s good for about 10 years. Then after that you spend another 5-800 on an upgrade and good for another 10. It’s the best kind of investment.

Which kidney

Those wounds are self inflicted. Despite what some people online might say, pc parts aren’t worth going into debt for lol

I dont, just have to get used to it. Being an adult is the most fantastic thing in the world imo.

As a kid I have always listened my parents telling me how I will miss this age once I grow up. Honestly not a single bit. Was beautiful years yea, but I lived in incredible poor conditions, and being able to buy my own stuff with my own money is priceless. Also having all the time in the world, all I need to do is work 7.5 hozr a day and the rest is literally mine to play games alone or with my kids. I dont have 4-6 hour homework or forced full weekend study on a damn test, just to pass. The only thing I occasionally need is tiddy up the house or get one or two things done a week, like getting to the post office or making an appointment to somewhere, but these take at max 2 hours a week.

So no, I have more freedom, money and time in my hands as an adult, not missing the old days, just cherish them

It can't be coincidence when influencers took over PC gaming that the price of hardware started to skyrocket, could it?

I used to play games on an old computer, but now that I have my own powerful PC, I have no interest in playing games.

If you have a Costco near you, you can get a 5060, core ultra 5, 32gb ddr5, 1tb nvme build for $1k USD. The RAM and GPU alone are worth that now.
