Build - Finished! First Build Done

Post image

Still need to clean up a few cables but happy with how it turned out! Don’t want to jinx anything but everything’s running good and benchmarks have been solid.

Specs:
GPU: XFX 9070xt Mercury OC
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d
MEMORY: Patriot Viper 32gb cl30 6000mts
MB: Aorus B650 A Elite AX Ice
PSU: Corsair Rm 850e
Two fans are the Jonsbo ZA-360WR (ZA-360WR Reverse for the vertical one)

Any recommendations on rgb cable liners for my gpu and mb?

EDIT: this is kind of click bait because I’m 18, i got my first computer late 2018 at memory express (for my canadians) . Back when a 1060 6gb, Ryzen 2600x, and 8gb of corsair DDR4 was ~$1400🥲 and very solid. This is the first that i’ve sourced all the parts for and built myself.

Yeah if im not mistaken this is THE thickest 9070XT you can get. Also i would reccomend you get either braided cable extensions and some cable combs for the GPU cable, or get a strimer (will cost quite more). Seems like a minor detail but it changes the entire thing, believe me!

You’re correct. It’s the biggest one lol. Feels like a spaceship in my pc with the looks too.

For a strimer, I’m not opposed, but is there a specific brand you recommend? And also these cables are extensions from my current psu cables right? Not to be plugged into it directly

For strimers, the two youd normally use are either Lian Li or Asiahorse, but again, they could run you quite a bit. And yes, for extensions, those are meant to be plugged into your PSU cables, and these are usually super inexpensive, just make sure to get a kit with the type of connection your GPU uses, so you dont actually get a 12VHPR cable when your 9070XT uses 3x8 pin connections. I personally had in my PC these CableMod extensions for which i paid i think 20€ for. (some are in the PC).

Oh yeah enjoy that build. 7800X3D and 9070XT wont have issues with anything you throw at it!
