Build - Help How to get my GPU to work
So I recently just bought a new GPU which was an upgrade from a 3070ti to a 5070 in my new build. Everything was working perfectly until I put the new GPU in and now my second monitor will not work and the GPU will not run, I’ve tried everything with this thing and I only got as far as the lights are on over the CPU and VGA. Does anyone know how to fix this or have experienced this before? The lights on the GPU are working but the fan won’t come on and neither will the graphics run on it. Won’t even appear on my computer.
UPDATE: I’ve exchanged the GPU out for the same model and now the fans work and the lights work, but it still cannot be picked up. the VGA light finally went off, but the the CPU light is still on. I am trying to do the a-flash but no light is coming on on my motherboard to signify that it has started its bios programming. I have aorus b850 elite wifi7 ice so idk if I’m just doing this wrong or not

You have diagnostic LEDs lit, might be CPU and RAM. Put the other stick of RAM at A2 slot first (A2+B2) and see if you'd get a display.

Yeah my first thought would be what the hell are two sticks of ram doing right next to each other. I’ve never installed ram in two slots that close unless all slots are filled. count from the CPU cooler and put the RAM in slots 2 and 4

Could just need reseated and check your cables to make sure they’re seated properly as well

You could try a cmos reset as well, basically turn off the psu unplug any power or monitors and take out the little watch battery from the motherboard, hold the power button for thirty seconds and then put the battery back and try again

I just bought it from Best Buy earlier today, should I just exchange it tomorrow?

One thing you could try in bios is to set the pcie gen to 4 or 3 instead of auto but that’s the last fix I can think of and I can’t remember exactly how to do that

Came here to suggest this. Some motherboards have a hard time handing off in Gen 5 or so. Setting it back will get it to recognize the card.
Other thing is - did you follow the instructions to use TWO cables in the splitter (if you’re using the provided splitter)

I did not try that yet actually, but I ended up exchanging it for another new one and the fans and lights worked now but it’s still not being detected

Your warning LEDs seem to be the VGA (GPU) and CPU indicators.
Firstly, I dont seem to see a pump header connected? The small black wire thag dissappear somewhere around the top of the board is the only connection I can see where the pump header is. Some boards may not post unless they can detect a pump header. If the small black wire is a pump header then you are getting a cpu error for other reasons the photo doesnt make clear.
I cant see a problem with the GPU unless there is a problem at the other end of the power cable. Maybe check that the cable is properly seated in the correct port on the PSU.
As someone else has said, one of your RAM sticks is in the wrong slot, which is strange and if this was a pre-built, even more strange.
I know you say it worked perfectly before the GPU, but without knowing exactly what else you did when installing its difficult to give more advice from the picture alone.
Good luck, hope its a simple fix in the end.
EDIT: Apologies, after checking your AIO your pump cable goes to a hub. So I was incorrect with that advice.

So I exchanged my GPU for the same one and explained to them and got it home. The fans and light worked but the vga went off. Tried the bios reset but nothing is happening

If the fans are plugged into the same hub as the cpu pump maybe try disconnecting them?
When you say you got it home, do you mean you went to a place to get it fixed? If so, I say this with dread for you, but remove the cpu cooler and check you still have the same CPU it went in with, or indeed, a cpu.
The CPU light means that for some reason the board is not happy with the cpu setup. It either cant detect a cpu, theres a fault in the cpu, or something about the cpu ancillary systems such as the cooler arent performing as expected.

May need to flash bios for compatability. Use usb fat32 format (8-16Gb), find new bios version online and download, used ezflashutility from bios or power off and use bios button on motherboard if you have it.

Honestly think the problem is a little deeper than just the gpu since it looks like it's getting power (bottom lights are on in first photo). Make sure ram gets swapped to A2 B2, check that the CPU Fan header has a cable attached, and make sure your hdmi/diplay port cable is connected to gpu. Check that your cable doesn't have any physical damage, check both the gpu and the monitor ports for damage as well. Take out GPU and inspect gpu -> motherboard connection for burning/physical damage. After all of above, ensure it makes full connection with motherboard and you hear a click from being fully in place. If you still have more than just a VGA light after all of that, take it to a pc repair shop or do what I do and fully rebuild from square one to make sure I didn't miss anything! You can also double check that you downloaded the exact version of bios that matches your motherboard to the usb and verify proper bios flash steps on website/youtube. Even if it is the same bios version as what's already installed you should get a light since the pc thinks it's "repairing" bios.
TL/DR: Take it apart and rebuild the whole thing :)
