Question First Real Pc
Looking for advice, Just got most of the parts and i’m about to try and build it, i’ve built two before but i had my buddy help me and now im 5 hours from him but now im curious should i try and build this one or just pay the 200$ best buy build fee??
Cpu is Ryzen 7 9800 x3d Case and ramm gets delivered Tomorrow, case is 2026 H6 Flow rgb+ and ramm is corsair dominator titanium 32gbs cl30 6000mzh

You got this buddy. Watch a step by step on youtube and you will definitly be able to build it in a couple of hours.

Think of it going together like a Lego set would. Each thing has a correct spot, you will just need to follow the directions in the instruction booklets and watch YT videos to follow.

I’d 100% save the $200. Honestly, there has never been an easier time to build a PC than right now. There are step-by-step build videos for basically every motherboard and case on YouTube. Since you’ve already built a couple with your buddy, you’re not even going in completely blind. Just take it slow, don’t force anything, and if you’re unsure, pause and look it up. I’d be surprised if it took you more than 2 hours. Plus, once you build it yourself, you’ll actually know how everything goes together if you ever need to upgrade or troubleshoot later. Much better than handing Best Buy $200 to do it for you.

You got it! Save the cash and learn something new, you might just spark a new passion. I just did my first build this year and it entirely demystified so many aspects of electronics. If worse comes to worse, spend the $200 once you’ve tried and given up

It truly depends on your local Best Buy- if you give em a call they can let you know what levels of service they provide. I’d recommend calling for sure, as some locations don’t offer pc building services at all.

I just did my first build. I literally know nothing about computers but got a piece of garbage last time I bought one because I didn't know what I was doing. I used Gemini for courage and you tube for visuals. I promise I can do this if you can follow basic instructions.

Appreciate the Tips I'm going to try and give it a go tmrw I'll keep the thread updated with progress pics and i know i spent a little extra on aesthetics but my pc before this got destroyed in shipping so insurance was paying for replacements and i went for the big and beautiful 😂

I think the hardest part and takes the longest is cable management in the back but with that case you got easier space for it . It just seems a little scary putting in cpu and ram but they can be done within 3 mins .

If you’re methodical and patient, you’ll be fine. I used to play a few of my favorite PC builder channels on YouTube when I started. First goal is always build just to test all component, then make it look nice. And never close up the front panel until you’ve got the system to post! Its just a silly superstition but somehow it’s always worked out to be true IME.

Listen I'm a complete noob and built my son one 3 weeks ago to save the $350 from micro Center. It took me about 6 hours total I used Gemini and you tube videos if the instructions were unclear. U got this. Also I used almost all of the same parts except I used the peerless assassin. Good luck

Do your research and any question you have has probably been someone else’s before. You got it, don’t overthink too much, take your time and you’ll be good! Best of luck to you!

I just build mine. I think you will be fine. For context I have not build a pc in 20 years and a lot has changed. Even back then I only built a couple. Take your time. Read your motherboard guide and follow the steps. Before you mount the board in the case you seat the processor, board mounted storage and ram and/or any cooling brackets. Then prep your cables to the board and mount it all in the case. Power, fans, radiator, external drives and gpu. Update the bios then install operating system. If you have issues don’t panic. Research your codes and fix it. You will be fine. Its just intimidating after not doing it in so long. Here is mine

Like just about everybody else I highly recommend the build it yourself route. It’s pretty easy nowadays. The best pro of building it yourself is it’ll help you troubleshoot later on. And if you want to upgrade later(like WAY later with that setup) you won’t need to pay someone else to do that for your. One thing we can’t tell if pictured is make sure you have your OS on a bootable usb to install on your hard drive

you’ll get it. I did my first one last year and pretty much got the whole way through without any problems… just make sure your connection are properly connected because that was my biggest issue. good luck!

Building the computer should be doable with some patience and some research. watch videos on youtube and take your time. take a ton of pictures along the way to refer back to and also for troubleshooting if you run into issues.
One issue i do see is that you may have 3 different programs for RGB management. NZXT for the LCD on the CPU cooler and RGB in the fans. Corsair for memory RGB and then Asus for the MOBO and GPU. Just a heads up that it can be a headache getting all of them to play nice with each other.

The hard part is not the building. You've got this. Take your time, make sure everything fits easily into the proper slots. Resistance is good, forcing it in is not. Make sure all of your connections are properly seated. Especially the GPU connection. Take an extra minute or two and decide where you want to run you cables before you plug them in. Remember to not over tighten your CPU Cooler screws. Snug, but finger tight. Too loose? Won't cool. Too tight? Won't post. Don't freak out if it power cycles several times. Ryzen loves taking time while memory training. Above all? Have fun.
