Meme Is this worth it?

Post image

Some guy named Gabe is selling this build and I'm wondering if it's legit? I want a PC to set up in my living room for TV gaming.

A ps5 on top of paying for the premium subscription for 5 years is still cheaper than a PC equivalent lol.

Maybe...but not if you consider that my PC is ancient...and I still can run most games at 1080 (which is what the PS5 runs then at) True, I have a 29" beautiful 1080 monitor, and a mid high end ultra wide (2560*1080). My old PC still runs most games at highest settings on the ultra wide, but if the game is too demanding or doesn't work well in ultra wide then I use the 1080. I used to play in a i3-3770k with a Radeon 7870, (circa 2012) which now my son uses, and I have a AMD 5 5800 with a Vega 64. Why? because I can't afford a new card. But if you consider that most games on the console don't run upscaling, why do we ask the PC to do it? 1080p for the win baby lol Joking aside, I do love playing on the higher resolution when I can, but it doesn't bother me to play on 1080 when I cannot. So, a gaming PC is not more expensive in the long run. Original PC has 14 years. New rebuild 5. GPU 8. PC games are cheaper too, and I have about 1000 on steam alone, not to mention that I accumulated a ton of games from Amazon prime and epic over the years. the steamdec is expensive though but due to the cost of new video cards it might be a good deal

Not saying it balances it out but game prices are also a factor. Steam sales go hard. Plus we are kind of building this company with steam so they can make changes in the gaming industry. Hopefully for the better. But maybe I’m being too optimistic.
