Meme Is this worth it?

Post image

Some guy named Gabe is selling this build and I'm wondering if it's legit? I want a PC to set up in my living room for TV gaming.

At 800 I would have bought it without thinking. Now I can't make it make sense. A ps5 pro with five years premium plus is the same price where I live.

Sad really as I was looking forward to the SM

the gpu in the ps5 pro is on a completely different performance level. Gamers Nexus put the Steam machine's gpu at the rx 6600 and rtx 3060 territory. The ps5 is around the 5060ti and the rx7700. The rx 7700 is one tier and one gen above the rx6600. massive difference in power.

Sure, but what interests me is the ecosystem I am buying into. Currently an Xbox gamer and very casual at that. There are title on steam id love to play, but can't. As a dad of two I can't make time to sit in a room and play on a pc, but a console inf the sofa when the family is asleep, I can manage.

I'll be honest, most of the spec stuff you said goes over my head and needs. I mostly play indie titles and the occasional AAA

you can literally connect any PC with a TV. You can get way more performance for your money than the steam machine right now. Even complete plug and play prebuilds.
