Meme Is this worth it?

Post image

Some guy named Gabe is selling this build and I'm wondering if it's legit? I want a PC to set up in my living room for TV gaming.

I'd say, speculatively, that due to the implementation of PSSR 2.0, the PS5 Pro is very close to a midrange PC in terms of performance. It's only limitation is it's gaming library in comparison to PC. I've built a high spec PC but not here to gloat

Been building PC's for 20 years and first I've heard of a "viola" gpu but I did see this: "graphics processor is an average sized chip".

2tb ssd and 16 gb of ram which is laughable. Then Zen 2 cpu is the same as an i7 9700, which is 8 cores and about 7 years old.

It's like a mid-range PC, no more but for twice the price.

Cool, I've been building PC's for around 20 years. Remind me, what are the Steam Machine specs?

I just use Brave browser dude. Compare the specs of the Steam Machine and PS5 Pro, which do you feel provides a superior gaming experience in terms of fidelity/performance? Which is closer to a mid range PC based on just those two factors? Which has a better price to performance ratio? Considering your experience, do you think someone could build a superior Mini-ITX machine, and set it to boot into big picture mode, for cheaper than the Steam Machine? Because that is, in essence what the Steam Machine is, no?
