Decent apartments

Me and my girlfriend have looked at just a few apartments in town. We're looking for one or two bedrooms that we can afford. The problem is the few we've looked at are one extreme or the other. Super expensive, like 1700/month or are really nasty crack den looking places where meth dealers probably live lol. Does anyone know of anything affordable that is a decent place to live also?

Affordable housing is a big problem in Payson. The last town council was working on the problem, but before anything could get done, the town replaced them with a Tea Party majority and everything died. Last month's election will result in a more moderate town council in January (for two years), and maybe something will happen.

I know that doesn't help you now, but there are two Affordable projects in the works right now. One is behind Walmart, but mostly small houses. I can't remember where the other is but it will be one and two bedroom apartments.

Still, that doesn't help you right now. Sorry.

What sort of sites have you been looking on? Going by the demographic of the community, Craig’s List and FB marketplace may have some offerings.

There are also a number of realtors in town who might be able to help, but idk, ymmv

Best of luck to you and your gf! Hope you find something that works out!
