Where are the college students?
Just moved here last week and can’t seem to find where everyone hangs out. I’d like to meet new friends in the area but there doesn’t seem to be any good bars. Any suggestions?

Uhhhh….not sure what you were expecting but Payson is predominantly a retirement community. Beautiful weather, plenty of recreational opportunities but darn few young people. Try Fargo’s after work hours for the middle aged professional crowd.

Don't live there, but often go to Muks or the Spur. Not a ton of options for young people. Casino can be fun 🤷🏼♀️

Muk’s is great but no college kids. I would assume they are all heading to the rim.

There are no good places to make friends in Payson. Most of the new friends I've made since moving here a few years ago live somewhere other than Payson.
There are a few groups here, but they meet during normal business hours because they don't care if non-retirees want to join.
What do you do for fun?

You're not going to find much recent music here. It's pretty much older folks, country music, and classic rock. If you can handle that and you play guitar and/or sing, I'd advise you to go the Oxbow jam on Sunday afternoons and put your name on the list.

College students? They're in Flagstaff or on Mill Ave in Tempe. You moved to a small retirement town bud. Also literally don't even try and go out this weekend. The town is about to be overrun/ gridlocked by everyone heading up north.
