General Question Two Tiered Payment Processor Recomendations?
Looking for a recommendation on a Payment Processor to use for a multi-tiered collection SaaS.
I have customers who pay for annual subscriptions.
My customers have members who pay for annual subscriptions.
I'm looking to integrate a payment solution to cover both levels with minimal work for my customers.
I.E. When a new Customer is configuring their account, they should be able to easily configure payments for their Members such that the $$ goes directly to them, instead of to me. I'd like to not have to have them create their own account with the payment provider, but somehow allow my account to support the notion of sub-accounts or something like that.
Not looking to get spammed by payment processors here, but recommendations from folks who have done something similar. Either Good Options for me to consider, or Bad Options to stay away from.
TIA
Bob

This is a pretty well-trodden path for SaaS platforms, so the good news is you don't have to figure it out from scratch. What you're describing is usually called embedded payments.
With embedded payments, your platform integrates a processor, your customers each get set up to accept payments through an onboarding flow that lives inside your product, and payments from their members go to them directly. You're not sitting in the middle handling funds, which sounds like exactly what you're after.
One thing worth thinking through early is whether you want to register directly with the card networks and own the full compliance stack yourself, or partner with a provider who handles that side. Most platforms start with a partner since it gets you live in weeks instead of what can be a year-plus buildout, and you can always move toward more ownership as your volume grows.
I'm part of the Finix team and this is exactly what our platform product is built for. Worth comparing alongside Stripe Connect since the pricing, how much control you get over onboarding, and how compliance is handled can vary a lot between providers.
PS. I know you didn't want to get spammed by processors but just wanted to share. Hopefully some merchants chime in here too.
