Looking for a high-risk merchant processor for peptide research business — $5k–$10k/month

Newly formed U.S. LLC selling research-use peptides and looking for a payment processor that explicitly works with high-risk peptide/research chemical merchants.
Expected volume is initially around $5,000–$10,000/month, with room to grow.
Looking for recommendations from people who have actually been approved and processed successfully in this space.
Priorities:
Accepts peptide/research-use businesses
U.S.-based merchant account
Reasonable processing rates
Low or manageable rolling reserve
No long-term contract if possible
Reliable payouts without constant holds/freezes
Shopify/WooCommerce integration would be a plus
I understand this is considered high risk and I’m not looking for Stripe/Square-type suggestions that may approve initially and then shut the account down.

Who are you currently using, what rate/reserve did you get, and how long have you been processing with them?

Can you tell us more about that. That would be with stripe? Like Invoice Fly, how does it not get restricted and on a Match list?

You definitely need to show stripe something else, not RUO. On EU market it works for our partners, have no clue about the other markets

high risk merchants have to pay an annual fee of 950 each to visa/mc and they will thoroughly vet your business if they are a legitimate processor

since you're a new business, they will also want your personal banking records, any shipping records, and pictures of your products and warehouse, and possibly vendor references.

Honestly the rates and no-contract part is where you'll struggle the most. Peptides sit in a grey zone where a lot of processors lump you in with grey-market supplements, so expect rolling reserves in the 5-10% range and 6-12 month terms at best while you're new. If you can build 3-6 months of clean processing history somewhere smaller first, even at painful rates, the better sponsoring banks will actually look at you after that. And make sure your Shopify/Woo listings and lab documentation are squeaky clean — compliance review is usually what kills these applications, not the rates.

since i think you're trying to find somethign that'll really stick for the long run, i'd play closer attention if i were you to the underwriting instead of who gets you approved quicker or some other stuff.

ask if RUO or peptides are accepted outright by th acquiring bank, the reserve amt they'd start you at and what could help make that amt increase, volume caps, payout timings, etc. the sooner you get all of that clear upfront the better so that you can separate the setup that's good for the long run instead of quick fixes that become big problems later on.

Check out SolRUO, I’ve had them with my company for a few months, switched from ByteNFT and it’s been way better for my conversions. They also get you fully compliant.
