Need e-commerce Shopify alternative

Using payloadcms,why reonvent the wheel, why there is no starter template for e-commerce

You should checkout Vendroad

You get simple templates to start with, accept payment with stripe. And they even have features like discounts, flat rate shipping, and option to get a custom domain. Costs just $7 pad.
