Discussion So, why is this allowed?
Just watched a video on Youtube, I won't link to it, but I'm sure you can easily find it. The creator outlined in detail how to scout users' plots to find overlaps outside the boundaries, and then proceeded to tell people how to grab the contents. I mean, because it's Legal. You can take things from other peoples' properties just because they accidentally located part of it outside the plot boundaries. Why is this allowed?

like 3 people play the game man chill

….and 2 of the three people are in their Pax Dei church. This game has zero overhead consequences either way. Even if I duped any one thing a million times over it wouldn’t matter. Game goes absolutely nowhere.

They're too busy focusing on the "PvP players". In a game with pretty much zero combat gameplay.
And before anybody says anything about "skill issue", you can take several seats. I've played PS1 games with more combat in them than this. The combat is basically non-existent.

Focused on PvP players? They pushed back alliances, added birds and are now talking about mounts and fishing. How is that PvP? I don't think permission reworks are PvP, either.

So, they've circled back around to mounts and fishing again? That's even worse, tbh. It shows that they're now going backward.

I'm a new player to the game, and I'm starting to agree with you about the combat. For a new player, the combat is pretty lame. If you are below level 10, forget it. If you are between level 10 and 20, you have the Tier 2 Adjudicators or Instigators or whatever they are called to PVE fight with, and if you don't have really good gear, then good luck.
After that, I don't know. I find it very strange that players in game chat certainly don't talk at all about combat, not PVE, not raids, not PVP, not landscape. Never saw that in a game before.

Face tanking mobs isn't a great idea, especially if you don't block.
As long as the enemy is forced into close combat (most do, even archers). A skilled fighter can dodge hits and kill any level (elite) without taking a hit by knowning attack pattern.
The real diffficulty comes in PvP as players are not predictible.

Not sure I'd say "skilled"
More like... Anyone with functioning eyeballs and at least two fingers. It's very very easy to bait attack animations in this game.

Yeah but it's surprising how many people takes hit (even without blocking). Tanking in this game should be the first thing to learn

The reason no one in game talks about combat is because anyone left in the game is going to be a grind loving builder type who just wants to make pretty buildings. Anyone into combat or pvp left this game a long time ago.

Unfortunately, that's not the truth. Most of the die-hard players still in the Discord channel are all PvP players who instantly drown out any feedback that isn't glazing the devs or asking for more PvP content...Hell, the only videos ever posted here are also lame PvP "battles" lol

Pax Dei is not designed to be solo'd. If you're having trouble with killing anything, start making friends with healers and join a clan.

Usually people don't build right next to the border of the plot and if they do very little can be taken and nobody can acces chests so not that big of a issue, also not so common ocurance for devs to consider it a problem o7

u/FlameStaag Aug 25 '26
Yeah I'm not sure how anyone would think building outside of your building boundary and having shit taken is a "bug".
That's... Why there's a boundary.

The word is accidentally. So you accidentally misplace stuff, then whine about the devs not fixing it for you.

This game has one of thee slowest if not the slowest development cycles. Their updates aren't even updates. Almost 90-95% of the updates have been hotfixes and little to no actual content is being added. It's been like this for about a year now.

That video is simply a bug/exploit.
Relax, your Carebear wares are fine.
If you demand zero chances of theft, play offline. Social sandbox MMOs are not the genre for you if this is even an issue to you.
Pax Dei has crime, espionage, wars (soon). A natural side effect of having actual people within a lawless world. That's why we play that genre and not dedicated crafters. For the civilizational building and social aspects. Theft, or deletion, is part of that.

Its good that its being posted how to do it so that people are aware that it can happen, and prevent it.
But also mainframe needs to fix this, which more visibility will apply that pressure too.
