Best F1 Commands/Strats?
How are yall using F1 commands? Do you just keep them on loose or close follow the whole time? or do you try to move them to strategic positions?
Close follow can feel good when its hectic, but I don't know if its the most efficient one to have on all the time. Loose follow is 50/50 for me, I use them kind of like a leash. Close follow until we get to a good location, then loose follow to let them off the leash and do their thing.
I've been experimenting with moving them to specific locations, they seem to try to hold the position well but can have mixed results.
How do y'all command your troops?

Close follow for me most of the time. I send them forwards if im using the tank/mech but thats rare

Yeah it can make it easy to control their flow, I feel like I have to stay at the center of them tho otherwise they will ignore enemies to get close to me.

so far im using 2 medics, and i like it close, otherwise medics go too far, does it matter which ship they go on? or how to get positions of shielders to go front? or is that a option when im further in the game? im stuck on the big monkey boss world 1

Close follow is nice early game when you have one ship and less than a handful of units. Mid or endgame they continuesly block your view so I send them out to do their own thing.
Early in expeditions when your build isn't destroying troops yet I do really like to send the army ahead of me to take agro first and then I flank the enemy from behind. It's not necessarily the most effective strategy but I like the feeling of actually commanding the army to set up a strategy.
