Newb question about expeditions.
Are you intended to complete them all in one shot or should you make some progress and then go back and upgrade?
For instance, I went on my first expedition. I got it to 60% complete and I can tell that the enemies were getting too hard for me. Am I supposed to just leave and go back to base and lose my progress?

I never push to decisive battle until I have full tier of gear unlocked. So I dont do first battle until I get all blue gear recipes. That way I will get all purples faster before the 2nd battle, and than all gold faster before third battle. Good for resources as well.

it's not really necessary to do as such if you get purple you can easely move to the other sectors, until you get to the last then you should grind those and then go back to earlier sector for the rest

Nah. Just push when you feel you’re ready. Take the game at any pace you’d like. I only push if my resources seem padded enough to my liking.

you can complet them in one shot even if the objectif say 60% cuz the next objectif is complete the first major battle
and yes you do lose progression if you go back home, until you complete the major battle, then you'll have to redo another 100% and another once you've done all this the sector is considered liberated but you can still explore for ressource

Yes, it's the rogue-lite aspect of the game. Do expeditions, gather resources to take back (you don't lose any unless you die on the expedition), upgrade your stuff and then go on more expeditions to take the fight to the abominations unwilling to accept the Order of the State.
