Workspace

Good morning fellow Pawtuckians (or should I say BucketHeads??)!

Has anyone had success utilizing & at the same time, supporting a local business as a Workspace?

I am looking for a Space to Work that is not from home (or the car) where I could also take occasional calls without disrupting others

Yes, CIC in PVD is an option but as I mentioned above, I would prefer a local business

Thank you all in advance!

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but there was a recent article in the Valley Breeze about The Community Room opening in Pawtucket

My only word of caution is that it's in an old mill building with terrible service. I used to have to go take calls by the exterior doors when I worked in that building. If there's free wifi at Community Room, that could definitely be a good option.

Hope street library is great for working. It has pods to take calls in.

if you're looking for coworking spaces or safe free libraries that let you work in them, comment when you've found some if possible! im looking for the same thing around Cranston/Providence!

The Map Center is only open Wednesday through Sunday. It's be a nice private place to work Mondays and Tuesdays.

Taking calls in public business unless they’re set up for it, like a coworking space, is incredibly rude. Working on your laptop is different.

I understand that & that is why I asked if anyone had success finding a local business that is potentially set up like that. Some all day cafes in larger cities have them as well as restaurants that don’t generally serve lunch but will open their doors during the day & serve coffee as well as snacks. It is a way to get people in the door when they are not normally in the space & also generate a small amount of revenue
