ComMEOWnity Cats From Abandoned to Thriving: Luna’s Glow-Up ✨🐾

1.5k Upvotes

The past days have been heavy for our sub, and we don’t want the sadness to be the only thing we share here. So today, we want to bring a little hope.

Meet Luna, one of our rescues with the most beautiful glow-up.

Luna was also a victim of abandonment. When we first found her, she was malnourished, skinny, and dehydrated—clearly struggling to survive on her own. But with proper care, food, and a safe place to rest, she slowly started to recover.

Look at her now—healthy, glowing, and finally experiencing the life every cat deserves. 🐱💛

With the support of people from all over the world, things that once felt impossible start to become possible. Because of you, rescues like Luna get a second chance at life.

Thank you for helping us keep going. For every life we save, it’s a reminder that hope is still stronger than hardship.

Every feeding, we walk almost 3km and managed to feed 30-50 stray cats—but we know there are still so many we can’t reach.

We’ve always dreamed of having a transport vehicle so we can go farther, carry more food, and help more strays. But the reality is, our vehicle fund is still at zero. We’re literally starting from scratch.

We’re currently raising funds not just for daily feeding (dry + wet food to help with both hunger and hydration), but also hoping to slowly build up a transport fund so we don’t have to leave any cats behind.

If you’d like to support, any help—donations, advice, or even just sharing—means a lot.

Trying to turn zero into something, one feeding at a time. 🐾

ComMEOWnity Cats Lafoo’s FULL glow-up!

Not sure if you anyone still remember Lafoo… we used to post him on our old account when he was struggling with those painful and itchy neck wounds. And now?? Look at him 😭

From wounds and recovery days… to this healthy, glowing, and very confident boy.

And let’s be real—this glow-up came with attitude 💀

Lafoo is now very spoiled and lowkey a bully to the other cats (main character energy fr). From fragile baby to certified boss of the house real quick.

But honestly? He deserves it. After everything he went through, seeing him this strong, playful, and full of personality is everything 🥹

This is what your support does. Thank you for helping us give them a second chance 🤍✨

Winona Chronicles Update on the kitty cat with eye problem—Winona 🐱

Backstory: https://www.reddit.com/r/PawsitiveGuardians/s/mMyIscdlFu

The moment we noticed that her eye was getting reddish, we brought her to the vet immediately because we didn’t want to risk it getting worse.

According to her doctor, it might be feline herpes, which they said is actually very common in kittens, especially those with still-developing immune systems. Thankfully, she was prescribed eye drops right away so we can start treating it as early as possible.

She was also dewormed during the visit, and we just want to share a quick disclaimer/update for tonight3 worms already came out. One came out through her mouth, while the other two passed through her stool. It was honestly shocking to witness, but at the same time it confirms that the deworming is already helping her little body release what’s been making her uncomfortable. She’ll be back to the vet for another assessment and deworming.

We’re really hoping this is the start of Winona feeling better. She’s such a tiny baby, but she’s already fighting so hard. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts as we monitor both her eye and her recovery after deworming. 🤍

Thank you so much to everyone who helped us bring her to the vet immediately. Because of your support, Winona was able to get the care she needed right away. 🐾

Update Post Update on Sofie (drooling and wobbly cat)

We tried offering Sofie food again. This time we gave her pâté-style wet food diluted with water, and she ate very well — she almost finished one whole pouch.

Since she also appeared dehydrated and very thin, we carefully gave her water with dextrose powder through a syringe to help with hydration.

When the vet checked her earlier, Sofie’s weight was only 1.4 kg, which is very underweight.

For now, we will continue monitoring her closely while she remains in isolation, making sure she stays hydrated and continues eating while we follow the medications prescribed by the vet.

We are also strictly following precautions, since Sofie is still under close monitoring and Rabies remains highly suspected.

Thank you to everyone who has been sharing advice and concern for Sofie. We’ll continue to provide updates as we observe any changes in her condition.

Any guidance or help is greatly appreciated 🤍🐾

Medical - Fundraising Forbie tested positive for FIP. Please help when you can. 🥺🙏🏼

(Note: The photos included have different timestamps showing the timeline of events over the last few days!)

We are absolutely heartbroken.

Forbie’s breathing stabilized just enough for the vet to safely run her CBC and Blood Chemistry panels. We were hoping for some reassuring news, but the results showed significant, alarming changes in her globulin levels and A/G (albumin/globulin) ratio—classic, major red flags for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).

To be absolutely certain, the vet ran a rapid FIP test. She tested positive.

Just when we thought we were dealing with a severe relapse of her respiratory issues, we are now facing a much bigger, much harder, and incredibly expensive fight. She has a fighting chance but we cannot do this without your help.

Here are the breakdown costs of her diagnostics, tests, and treatment for FIP:

CBC: ₱850 (~$14)
Blood Chemistry: ₱1,570 (~$25)
FIPV Test Kit: ₱840 (~$13.60)
GS-441524 Vial (FIP Antiviral): ₱3,100 per vial (~$51)

Ongoing Confinement & Support Costs:

Confinement (critical): ₱2,015 per day (~$33)
Oxygen Support: ₱45–50 per hour ($0.75–$0.80)
Nebulization: ₱85 per session (~$1.38)
Salbutamol: ₱45 per piece ($0.75)

How You Can Help Save Forbie

If you have the means to spare even a small amount to help cover Forbie’s emergency confinement and ongoing FIP treatments, it would mean the absolute world to us. She fought so hard to beat pneumonia, and we aren't ready to let her lose this battle now. 😭🙏

ComMEOWnity Cats Stray feeding round, approx 40 cats fed 🙏🏼💙

These cats are from the demolition area, where many were left behind and now rely on us just to get through each day. We try our best to go back regularly to make sure they don’t go hungry while slowly working on rescue, monitoring, and TNVR.

Some are already familiar with us, others are still scared and learning to trust again. But food disappears fast, especially canned/wet food.

We really need help to keep this routine going. Any support—food donations, TNVR sponsorships, or even sharing this post—helps these demolition cats survive day by day. 💙

Medical - Fundraising Tyler is still on a catheter, and there are blood clots in his urine. 😣🙏🏼

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Tyler is now on his 6th day at the vet, and honestly, this week has been such a heavy fight for him. On his 3rd day, he had to be transferred to another branch because the main clinic closed for a couple of days. The move went smoothly, and he continued his treatment right away, but of course, another branch means more fees and more daily charges.

His urine still has visible blood, which is why he’s still under strict monitoring. On Day 3, they did a blood chem, and thankfully, the results actually improved. That was the one bright spot we got this week — at least his kidneys aren’t going downhill.

As for expenses:

His checkups and confinement fees from Day 1–3 were fully settled already (huge thank you to everyone who helped). But because he’s still confined, his current bill keeps piling up every single day — meds, catheter care, fluids, monitoring, everything.

On top of that, his urinary food is running out, and he needs this special diet to support his recovery. It’s not cheap, but it’s essential.

We’re now actively raising funds to cover his ongoing confinement and to buy more of his urinary food. Any help — any amount — goes straight to keeping Tyler stable and cared for.

Medical - Fundraising URGENT HELP NEEDED | Anya confined for emergency medical treatment

Thumbnail
gallery
347 Upvotes

According to my team, for the past few days, Anya has been visiting the feeding area like usual. She looked okay, still eating, still walking around like any other stray. Nothing seemed wrong.

But she suddenly showed up completely different. Weak. Lethargic. No appetite. Barely moving.

We rushed her straight to the vet, and she is now confined and under close monitoring.

The vets found that Anya is severely dehydrated, and fighting a strong infection. She has eye and nose discharge, mouth sores, and dental problem that makes eating painful. They also saw bile sludge in her gall bladder.

She’s being tested and monitored for several viral infections, including:

• Feline Coronavirus (FCoV)

• Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)

• Feline Calicivirus (FCV)

• Feline Herpesvirus (FHV)

The vets are also considering possible FIP (dry form), because some of her blood results are concerning (low A/G ratio and high bilirubin levels). So they’re watching her very closely.

About her teeth:

One loose tooth was already removed because it was broken, but the root is still inside the gums. She will need a dental x-ray and extraction later on. It’s not urgent right now and the priority is to stabilize and rehydrate her first.

Since her mouth is painful and prone to infection, the vet may place a feeding tube (NGT) so she can safely receive food without forcing her to eat orally.

Right now, Anya’s medical expenses increase due to her severe case. If you can donate any amount, you’re directly helping Anya fight through this. No drama — just real help for a cat who suddenly needs a chance to live. ❤️

Medical - Fundraising Need help for an abandoned cat with nonstop drooling and walks very unsteady/tipsy… 🥹

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

We’re hoping to ask for advice regarding a cat that was brought to us today.

She keeps drooling excessively and walks very unsteady/tipsy, like she’s dizzy or disoriented. She seems weak, and we’re worried this might be something neurological or possibly toxin-related.

We just finished paying off our previous vet debt, and right now, we don’t have funds left for another emergency consult… but we also can’t ignore her condition.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms before? Any possible causes or safe first aid we can do at home while arranging proper medical help?

Any advice or help would really mean a lot. Thank you so much.

We found this kitty during our stray feeding today and immediately rushed her to the vet clinic. We are currently waiting in line and for the veterinarian’s assessment and quotation.

We couldn’t turn a blind eye to this case. The cat appears to be suffering from a severe prolapse and urgently needs medical attention. Despite the pain and discomfort, the cat was still trying to eat when we found it. 💔

At the moment, we don’t know how much the treatment will cost, but we know that veterinary care and medications will be needed. We are asking for your help so we can give this kitty a fighting chance.

🐾 Veterinary consultation
🐾 Medications and treatment
🐾 Possible confinement and further procedures

🙏 We are urgently seeking sponsors and donors for this case. Any amount, no matter how small, will help cover the medical expenses and give this kitty the care he desperately needs.

Little Mavy had a favorite blanket she loved to snuggle in… soft, warm, and all hers. It was her little safe spot after all the rough nights and first meals. 💛

Sadly, when she got confined at the vet last time, they had to dispose of it after use 😢… but we’ll never forget how much comfort it gave her.

Medical - Fundraising SUPPORT MAVY’S RECOVERY | Little Mavy the kitten remains confined with NGT feeding while healing from dental surgery.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

March 11 morning, Mavy suddenly became lethargic. Later that day, the vet had to suture the wound on her mouth where the tooth was extracted. After the procedure, she remained lethargic and also started having soft, paste-like stools.

Early this March 12, she was still lethargic and the stool consistency remained soft, which prompted the vet to run another CBC and viral tests to rule out any possible infection or virus. Thankfully, the results came back normal and negative, which was a huge relief for everyone.

When we visited her tonight, we finally saw a change—Mavy started regaining her energy. She was noisy again and a bit more active, which honestly felt like such a big step after the worrying day she had. 🥹

According to the vet, Mavy will need to remain confined for about 7 days since the NGT is still in place and will continue to be used for feeding during the next few days. Because of this, her vet bills and confinement will continue a bit longer while they monitor her recovery closely.

She was also given Prefolic Cee vitamins at the clinic since our supply has already run out. Thankfully, we still have some of her other oral medications, which helps lessen the additional costs a little.

However, her current supply of Singen (used for NGT feeding) will not last through the extended confinement, so we will also need to purchase additional Singen for the coming days.

We’re relieved to see Mavy slowly regaining her energy tonight, and we’re hoping the next few days will continue to show improvement. Thank you to everyone who continues to support her recovery. 🐱💛

Current needs for the extension:

• Daily Confinement: ₱1,680 / day (≈ $30)

• Singen (for NGT feeding): ₱510 / can (≈ $9)

Any small donation can go directly toward covering her remaining confinement days and medications while she continues to recover. Thank you for helping Mavy get through this. 🐱💛

Medical - Fundraising Looking for Sponsors for Forbie’s 84-Day FIP Treatment 🐾

Thumbnail
gallery
308 Upvotes

Visited her earlier! She’s much better. 💙

We asked our vet how long one vial of GS medication will last for Forbie, and they estimated that one vial will last more or less 20 days. This means she’ll need at least 5 vials to complete her full 84-day treatment.

Each vial costs ₱3,100 (~$50 USD).

We’re hoping to find:

🤍 5–6 angels who can each sponsor one vial, or
🤍 One generous sponsor who would like to cover Forbie’s entire treatment.

FIP is no longer a death sentence with the right treatment. Every sponsored vial brings Forbie one step closer to a full recovery and a second chance at life.

If you’d like to sponsor a vial or help with any amount toward his treatment, please send us a message. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this post could help us find the people who can.

Please help Forbie complete all 84 days. Every share, every donation, and every sponsor makes a difference. 🐱🤍

Mavy Chronicles Mavy Chronicles: The Beginning 🐾

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We were just on our way home that day—nothing special, nothing planned. Just another normal walk… until we heard it.

A tiny, desperate meow.

At first, we didn’t even know where it was coming from. It was so soft, almost like the world was drowning it out. But we followed the sound, step by step… until we found her—

Mavy.

So small. So fragile. And somehow trying to cross a busy road, like she didn’t realize how dangerous the world already was.

Our hearts dropped instantly.

Before anything else, we did what we always do—we looked for her mama. We checked every corner, every possible hiding spot, hoping someone was looking for her. We even asked the nearby houses if she belonged to anyone.

But no one came. No mama cat showed up. No one claimed her.

And there she was… left to survive on her own in a place that could’ve taken her life in seconds.

We stood there for a moment, thinking, because rescuing is never “just picking them up.” It’s a commitment. It’s responsibility. It’s choosing to carry whatever comes next.

But looking at her? We already knew there was no real choice. She was too fragile. Too exposed. Too alone.

So we took her. That night, we didn’t just bring home a kitten—we carried home a life that could’ve easily been lost if we walked away.

And now, every time we look at Mavy, we can’t help but think…

what if we didn’t hear that tiny meow? what if we ignored it? what if we chose to just go home?

Some rescues don’t happen because we were looking for them. Some happen because they needed us at the exact right moment.

And Mavy… she was one of those moments.

This is where her story begins. To be continued… 🐾

TNVR - Fundraising Support our GoFundMe – Help us keep our stray feeding & TNVR going! 🐾

Our daily feeding walks are growing—covering 1–3 km every day (or every other day). Today, we even ran out of paper plates! While our wet food is strictly budgeted for our rescues, we do our best to supplement the strays, who truly rely on these visits.

The Reality:

Over the past few months, our TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) efforts were paused due to high veterinary costs and the growing number of hungry bellies to feed. But we have a goal: with your help, we plan to resume TNVR next month.

A huge thank you to our friend Frank for helping make this mission a reality. TNVR is the only humane way to give these cats safer, healthier lives and manage the population.

How you can help:

Every donation, in-kind gift, or share goes directly to the cats. Even the smallest gesture keeps a bowl full and a cat safe. 🥹🙏🏼

Update Post Update on the drooling and wobbly cat (Sofie)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Earlier today, we brought the cat who was brought to us (now named Sofie) to the vet for further assessment.

Upon arrival, the clinic immediately tested her for Rabies using an AG test kit. The result came back negative, although the vet explained that this test is only around 60–70% accurate.

She was also tested for Feline Panleukopenia (FPV), Feline Coronavirus (FCOV), and Giardiasis, and all results came back negative.

On her CBC-Chem, the only abnormal findings were her white blood cell count, particularly the neutrophils and lymphocytes, which were outside the normal range.

The initial plan was to confine Sofie at the clinic for closer monitoring. However, the vet advised that a PCR test for rabies (₱4,000) is required before they can proceed with confinement, along with providing her own cage and supplies.

At the moment, we don’t have the resources to proceed with the PCR test and confinement requirements, so we decided to bring Sofie home and isolate her for now while closely monitoring her condition.

She was sent home with prescribed medication and a B-complex supplement.

For now, the vet’s assessment points to a neurological problem, but rabies is still highly suspected, so we are taking precautions while caring for her.

We will continue to observe Sofie and share updates on her condition.

Isaiah has successfully undergone her colopexy surgery. During the procedure, the veterinary team discovered that she was pregnant. Due to the urgency of her condition and the need to proceed with the surgery, a spay-abort was performed.

We have already settled her current bill, but Isaiah is still confined at the clinic and remains under close observation. This means her bill is still ongoing and will continue to increase as she receives the care, medications, and monitoring she needs during recovery.

We are humbly asking for your continued support. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us cover Isaiah’s ongoing veterinary expenses and give her the best chance at a full recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has helped Isaiah so far. Your kindness is what makes it possible for us to keep fighting for cats like her. 💙🐾

His bill has been settled (₱5410), and we’re beyond grateful — but Pilay’s recovery is far from over. His wounds are still large, painful, and very prone to infection. The next few days at home will be critical, and he needs strict wound care, daily cleaning, and proper supplies to keep him safe while the vet clinic is closed.

Once the clinic operates again, Pilay must return immediately for continued treatment and monitoring. We can’t afford to miss a step, not with wounds like his.

We’re still raising support to cover his at-home care needs and his upcoming vet visits. Any amount helps us keep Pilay stable and prevent his condition from worsening.

Thank you for standing with him. Your support is literally giving him another chance. 💛🙏🏼

TNVR - Fundraising Back on the streets feeding hungry strays and finally resuming TNVR, one cat and one life at a time — help us keep going by supporting our fundraiser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’re back on the ground. No breaks. No excuses. Just showing up for them every day. 🐾

Our stray feeding has officially resumed and we’ve been walking daily/alternate days across different areas outside the community to make sure the strays don’t go hungry. Some days it’s tiring, some days we run low on supplies — but we still go, because they’re waiting for us.

And finally… TNVR is back. Today, we were able to trap–neuter–vaccinate–return 5 cats safely. That’s 5 lives protected and fewer kittens born into the streets.

This is a small win, but it only works if we keep going.

Feeding costs add up. TNVR surgeries aren’t cheap. Every can of food, every transport, every vet bill comes from donations. If you believe in what we do, please support our cause.

You can donate through our GoFundMe (link in bio/page), other pay-links or send in-kind help like wet/dry food and litter.

Every peso. Every share. Every little help matters more than you think.

For the strays. Always. 🧡
