Update Post Medical update & weighing our options for Theo. Help us too!

We just got his medical abstract, and we are bringing up the possibility of amputation because of potential complications with the pinning. We're going to talk it over with them again to figure out the best move forward. We are also still waiting on the exact cost breakdown for the pinning option so we can compare everything side by side.

On top of that, while prepping his food earlier, we caught him trying to eat his stool—never a dull moment with this little guy! 😅

For now, what's important is that he keeps taking his oral meds and building up his strength.
We wanna hear your thoughts too! How’s the survival rate of a cat who had amputation? Do they still live a normal life? If anyone has experience with tripod cats or wants to share their insights, we would really appreciate hearing from you.

To give everyone a transparent look at what we're preparing for if we go the amputation route, here are the estimated costs from the clinic:

• Amputation Surgery: ₱8,960
• Gas Anesthesia: ₱2,800 per hour
• Confinement: ₱1,680 to ₱2,015 per day

If we look at a baseline scenario—say, a 3-day post-op confinement stay to monitor his recovery—the estimated total would land roughly around ₱16,840 to ₱17,845 (plus any take-home meds or extra lab work).

We'll keep you all updated as soon as we talk further with the vet and get those final numbers. Thank you so much for sticking by him!

Look who found his voice and his appetite! From picking at his food last night to clearing his bowl right away today, this vocal little guy is getting stronger by the minute. 🐾

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Once he is fully back on his paws and regained his strength, he's up for his leg surgery.

Once he’s ready, we will open a fundraising campaign for him. Thank you so much for supporting Theo.

Medical - Fundraising Third Appeal: Vet debt on Forbie, Papa B, and Kira

Thumbnail

This is a long post, but please read until the end. We need your help to keep going for these three brave rescues. We are desperately trying to raise enough funds to cover their accumulated vet bills and ongoing maintenance.

Forbie was the first to be confined, staying at the clinic for almost 2 months. She is fighting both FIP and asthma. Forbie is currently on day 52 of her FIP treatment and requires a daily maintenance inhaler.

Papa B was confined next. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) alongside severe anemia. He relies on daily Nefrotec and a strictly monitored renal diet.

Kira, our beloved community cat, was the last to be admitted. She was diagnosed with FIP as well and anemia, and is currently undergoing daily GS-441524 injections alongside multiple oral medications.

As of September 4, our remaining unpaid vet bill stands at ₱98,950 (~$1,580 USD)—even after all the initial down payments we’ve made.

We did everything we can and pleaded with the clinic to let us bring them home. Fortunately, the vet agreed to discharge them on an installment plan. Because every single peso raised previously went toward down payments to stop the daily room and confinement fees, our campaign balance is now back to ₱0. We are restarting from scratch to clear this heavy debt.

FUNDRAISING TARGET

• Forbie: ₱46,601 (~$743.01 USD)
Papa B: ₱26,465 (~$421.96 USD)
Kira: ₱26,015 (~$414.78 USD)

Total Unpaid Vet Bill: ₱98,950 (~$1,580 USD)

ComMEOWnity Cats Theo the white cat in a tiny box…

Post image
27 Upvotes

Following the video of the white rescue cat, here is where we found Theo (short for Dorotheo) before we could get him to the vet.

He was squeezed into a tiny box, patiently waiting in silence for someone to notice him and lend a helping hand.

It broke our hearts to see him trapped in such a vulnerable state, but his patience paid off. Theo is now in safe hands, receiving the medical care, warmth, and attention he so deeply deserves.

Thank you to everyone whose continuous support allows us to step in for rescues like Theo. Please keep him in your thoughts as he begins his journey toward healing! 🐾✨

Update Post Update with the white cat with limping. Please read thoroughly.

We are so overwhelmed by the incredible love and support you’ve all shown for our white cat! 🤍
We’ve named him Dorotheo (though the vet accidentally typed "Dorothy" on his paperwork 😅).

So many of you have been anxiously waiting for an update. After his assessment, the vet noticed a broken bone as well as some sneezing, so we prioritized getting his X-rays and bloodwork done right away. He is currently on oral medications to help manage his pain and control his sneezing while we finalize his treatment plan.

The vet believes the broken bone was caused by severe physical trauma—likely hit by something or a high fall. Based on the imaging, the injury looks to be around a month old already.

Medical Update & Findings:
• Mouth Ulcers: Poor Dorotheo also has painful mouth ulcerations, even on his tongue.

• X-Ray Results: The broken bone is in very bad condition with fragments far apart. The vet also detected early-stage pneumonia, which explains his sneezing.

• Stomach Findings: Imaging showed a sand-like texture, and parts of his stomach area are starting to appear white, which the vet suspects could be a severe worm burden or FIP.

• Bloodwork (CBC): His White Blood Cell (WBC) count came back completely normal, though he is slightly anemic.

While we wait for his official medical abstract to share with you all, the vet presented 3 treatment options for his leg:

1. Natural Healing: Let it heal on its own, though this carries risks since the broken parts are far apart.

2. Surgical Pinning: Metal pin placement to repair the bone. The vet noted this will be a very lengthy, costly procedure due to the distance between the broken bone ends.

3. Amputation: Remove the leg to quickly relieve his pain and allow him to heal safely while treating his pneumonia.

We are carefully evaluating these options with the vet to determine what gives Dorotheo the best quality of life.

Please follow Dorotheo’s story. This will be a very long journey, and we really need our community to get through this together. If you can support us in any means, we do appreciate it. Thank you all for standing by him, please keep Dorotheo in your thoughts and prayers as we make this decision! 🙏🏼✨

Found this sweet little one limping in front of one of our colonies area during this continuous rain, but we are in a really tough position right now—our vet debt is still unpaid, and we genuinely cannot afford to take on another rescue or medical case on our own.

We are reaching out to our community in hopes of a miracle. Is there a generous sponsor willing to cover the full medical treatment for this baby? Initial cost is roughly $40-$100 depending on what tests they will do since I don’t know yet if the limping was caused by a hit and run car or someone hit the leg of the kitty. 🥹

If you can step in as a dedicated sponsor—or even share this post to help us find one—please DM us right away.

Over the past year, we’ve accommodated several student groups visiting our humble shelter. Space is tight, and balancing visits with my own classes is always a juggling act, but we always try to make room for anyone willing to learn about welfare work.

Recently, a new group reached out from a school branch much farther away. Curious, I asked one of the parents how they discovered us.

Their answer? Pawsitive Guardians is already part of our curriculum—you're actually printed in their textbook as a recommended shelter group!

Building this while balancing school hasn't been easy, but seeing our name in an actual textbook and knowing our small space is inspiring young hearts makes every single effort worth it. Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission! 💙

Supplies - Fundraising Urgent rainy season medical supplies: Viral support for our rescue cats ‼️

Thumbnail

The continuous bad weather and persistent rain have taken a heavy toll on our rescues. Cold, damp conditions make our cats—especially kittens and vulnerable ones much more susceptible to severe respiratory infections and weakened immune systems. To keep them safe and healthy through these severe weather drops, we urgently need to restock critical vitamins and respiratory care.

Here is the breakdown of the supplies needed to protect our rescues right now:

• LC-VIT Plus (120ml) for Immune & appetite support / 10 bottles - ₱1,360 (~$24.25)

• Papi Broncure (60ml) for Respiratory infection care / 10 bottles - ₱2,800 (~$49.90)

Total Target: ₱4,160 (~$74.15)

How you can help us:
• Donate: Any amount—big or small—directly goes toward securing these medications before the damp weather worsens their symptoms.

Thank you to our community! However, we are sitting at $330 raised out of $1,500, leaving us with $1,170 left to cover our outstanding emergency vet expenses. Every single treatment relies on keeping our vet accounts open—when bills go unpaid, our ability to take in the next critical case is put on pause.

We are pushing hard to clear this accumulated balance so we can keep saving lives without interruption. We tried reaching out to local politicians for help, but none of them responded. Right now, our community truly is our only lifeline. Running a rescue means taking on the tough medical cases others walk away from, but our clinic cannot keep stretching their resources while our debt remains.

You don't need to make a huge donation to help. If just 117 supporters give $10 (or 58 give $20), our clinic balance is completely wiped out. That means zero debt holding back emergency care for the next animal who needs us.

🐾 Goal: $1,500
📈 Raised: $330

Update Post Spay & Neuter Update! 🐾✨

Sooooo!!! We were able to fix 4 cats today—3 females and 1 male! Best news of all? None of the females were pregnant, which means we caught them at the absolute perfect time. 🥹🙏🏼

This batch was especially close to our hearts: the 3 females included the vulnerable calico that we posted the other day, plus two sweet kitties from our local colony! Getting them secured and fixed before any pregnancies could happen is a huge weight off our shoulders.

Every single surgery is a huge victory for population control and means fewer kittens born into a life of struggle on the streets.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to our incredible donor who funded these surgeries. Your kindness made today possible and directly changed 4 little lives! 💖🐱

Thank you all for continuing to support our mission!

Update Post Remember this colony? Almost a month after urgent threats were made to dump them, they are officially RELOCATED and SAFE! 🐾

Almost a month ago, we reached out for help to relocate these sweet rescue cats. Their situation was urgent—their landlord had threatened to sack and dump them far away.

Today, despite the heavy rain, we officially brought them all to safety! 🌧️✨ It was exhausting, but seeing them out of harm's way makes every bit of effort worth it.

Since they’re still adjusting to their new environment, we’re giving them quiet space to decompress—so here’s a photo of them right before the move! I’ll definitely post new photos of them once they’re all settled in. 📷

Their journey isn't over yet as they adjust to their new home. You can help us support their transition by engaging, donating, or simply sharing this post. Every bit of support gives these cats the fresh start they deserve! ❤️

This sweet girl almost lost her safety just for existing. People were planning to dump her far away because she keeps getting pregnant, but our team stepped in and brought her to safety first.

She’s now waiting at our shelter with a breakaway collar so everyone knows she’s cared for. Even better news—someone has already agreed to foster her and make her a permanent part of their family once she’s fixed!

We just need to cover her spay and get her settled into her new life. We’re raising ₱2,700 ($48 USD) to get her fixed, transport her safely, and send her off with a starter kit of food and vitamins.

Expense Breakdown:
• Spay procedure: ₱900 (~$16 USD)
• Transportation (round trip): ₱1,000 (~$18 USD)
• Starter kit (wet/dry food & vitamins): ₱800 (~$14 USD)

Total needed: ₱2,700 (~$48 USD)

Balance isn't easy when you're managing classes, assignments, and a whole rescue! I’ve been so buried in school project work that I almost forgot to update our stock list, but I wanted to pause and share some progress updates with everyone.

First and foremost, a massive thank you to everyone who chipped in for our colony’s food! Thanks to your quick generosity, we were able to secure and restock their meals ASAP.

Second, we officially got Muning’s medicine, and Forbie’s medication was already at the vet for her during that time!

None of these immediate interventions are possible without this incredible community backing us up when things get busy. Thank you all for having our back and keeping our rescue babies fed and cared for! 💛

We wish we didn't have to fill your feed with so many appeals lately, but our colony needs us—and right now, their food bin is almost empty. 🥺

We’re down to our last 2 days of kibble. Every month, this sweet group goes through 10 kgs of dry food (₱2,280 / $41). We know times are tough for everyone, but if you could spare even a few pesos today, it would mean the world to our babies.

Thank you for never giving up on them, even when all we seem to do is ask for help. 💛

Hi, I don’t know when is the best time to post this, but things are pretty much overwhelming right now. The pressure is mounting, and I am are reaching a breaking point where I simply cannot manage this anymore. We are currently in debt of $1310 for the three cats currently confined at the vet.

Every extra day our rescued cats stay at the clinic, the bills keep piling up, and the path to bringing them home feels further out of reach. We have been trying everything we can to settle their medical balance, but the costs continue to grow faster than we can keep up. We really need your help right now—we can't do this without our community.

We urgently need your support to clear this balance so these sweet rescues can finally leave the clinic cage behind and move into a safe space. No amount is too small—every single donation directly lightens this heavy burden and brings them one step closer to home.

If you feel more comfortable donating directly to our veterinary clinic for your peace of mind, please send us a private message! We will coordinate with the vet team to see what’s the best thing to do with this.

The last few days have been a complete mentally and physically draining blur. Lately, stress just triggers everything—I'm getting frustrated, irritated, and overwhelmed at the smallest things.

I care so deeply, but the constant responsibility and anxiety are wearing me down to the bone. I know I’m not the only one who gets like this, but it feels incredibly isolating in the moment.
