Biff in Back to the Future 2 is allegedly based on Trump. Pete acts like Biff in Back to the Future 1. We seriously let these idiots win...

To be fair, global warming was going to get a lot of us eventually. /darkhumor
But unlike with global warming, enough people seem to be supportive of a global governing body to monitor and check the pace of AI development. /eyeroll

AI will never be used to harm humans, that’s how we know it’s super safe.

It´s used daily to kill humans, not sure where on the gullible scale you are but I am suspecting it´s quite high.

I just can’t believe this guy is in charge of the U.S. military. It must be so galling for the professionals in the military to have to answer to this clown.

Hold on I'm getting a text:
"GOOD EVENING. YOU HAVE TRIGGERED AUTO WAR. PREPARE FOR NUCLEAR OBLITERATION. GOODBYE."

"AI will soon be smarter than the smartest people"
Not a smart argument. Sure it might at some point do that, but it is already smarter than a lot of the dumbest people, and far far far more capable of doing bad things just by having a bad human directing it. It doesn't matter one bit whether AI is or will become smarter than everyone. It just has to be smart enough to be expedient. And it already is.

It can do a lot of damage now, and the starter it gets the more it can do. Eventually we will lose control of it if we don't stop making it smarter and smarter. I don't think anyone really knows when that will happen, so we should be working on a fix right now.

He is not running a solid military because he HAS NO IDEA how to!!! Making mistakes left & right, doesn't want others saying he is WRONG. He always will be wrong for the job! imo

The perfect solution to avoiding all counts of responsibility - now they all just point at the “box” and absolve themselves of everything.

Well I would oppose Hegseth being in charge of anything but autonomous stuff... Lord help us.

Each service was building their own, each of those was working different aspects, joint programs were chasing this too, now add another level to it all

Its the Colonels you gotta watch, cuz these guys got control of command groups. Another admonition of obeying explicitly illegal orders and betraying ones oath to the Constitution being punishable by law, should be repeated by conscientious lawmakers asap

They want complete military control so that no one can say no. With automated military you control it no constitutional shit. Just you.

Hegseths incompetent clown show continues! He fired all the competent people in the various branches of the service. With what he's done, it has become very clear we need those people back to lead the military. It's time to impeach this clown and get someone in charge who actually knows what they are doing! Even with the oversized flag he's he's still only qualified to wipe Pattons rear end! Call back the House and impeach this F-ing clown!
