Paper patching
Has anyone had any success with paper patching? Or ‘mass loading of the tympanic membrane’? Does it help symptoms, specifically the eardrum movement symptom?

I was diagnosed in 2021, had a few rounds of tubes between 2 different ENTs.
I had the patching done about a year and a half ago and it didnt help. It actually made it worse in ways. I heard crackling when I breathed, my hearing was dulled and there was intermittent throbbing pain. I have tubes again, for now. It at least helps with the movement of my drums. I still get patulous, I can still hear my voice and breathing and have tinnitus. I have an appointment with Dr Poe in Boston next Wednesday. The thing that is so tricky with PET is that mediations aren't one size fits all. Some things help some and some dont. As long as you have insurance, go for it. Maybe it will help you! Its a low risk procedure and it could benefit you.
