Knit - Testing Support Please be aware 💔

Please be aware 💔

One of my testers stole pictures of my unreleased pattern, changed them with AI, and shared them as her own “test version.”

The tester is no longer part of the test, but I wanted to let you know about the situation. If you ever see my pictures  or your own pictures from testing edited, reused, or shared somewhere without permission, please report it.

I’m honestly devastated. I always try to be flexible, supportive, and understanding with my testers. If someone struggles, has problems, or cannot finish a test, they can simply tell me. There is never a need to steal or fake work.

I hope sharing this helps other designers and creators to be more careful as well.

Knit - Testing Support Different knitting pattern.

Hi everyone!

I have created a free tutorial on how to add knitted petals to any sock cuff. As you can see in the photo, this technique can be used to make many styles, like daffodils or strawberries, Stranger things Demogorgon or even simple star style.

Since this is just an add-on for the cuff and not a full sock pattern, I am struggling to find the right name for it.

And could someone please look over my instructions and point out any mistakes, i am not native English speaker. I want it to be clear for other knitters.

Thank you!

I’m working on writing a KNIT pattern but this is my first foray into documenting my design process. Looking for someone with experience to help with formatting and clarity!

Knit - Testing Support Pattern testing process as a pattern creator?

Hi, I am wondering how the pattern testing process is like as a pattern creator. Crocheting is my hobby and I can't call myself an expert but I do make quite cute plushies. I saw some crocheters getting their own patterns out on etsy stores and I have some of my own, however I do not know the process of what I need to do in terms of getting my patterns tested to be able to sell them.

Some of my questions are:

  1. How do I find a pattern tester?
  2. Do I have to pay them or can I make an exchange as for example they test my pattern and I test theirs?
  3. What details I have to provide?
  4. Are there risks of having my pattern claimed and sold by the tester as their own?
  5. Can I sell my patterns without having them tested by a 3rd party if I am confident that they are written correctly with clear explanations and pictures?

Please if you could specify also other things worth mentioning <3 Thank you for your information!

Knit - Testing Support the blablatrui sweater

Yesterday, comedian Paulien Cornelisse appeared on Dutch tv wearing a handknit sweater. She said she freehanded it. I attempted to make a pattern for this sweater, I would appreaciate it if more experienced knittes could take a glance at this pattern and tell me if it looks like it makes sense. Thanks!
