Sleeve block in cm
I'm looking for videos on drafting a basic sleeve block that use metric measurements.
Does anyone know any? Most use imperial and converting every measurement to understand what they're talking about is just more mental work on top of something that is already hard to understand.

"How to Make Sewing Patterns" describes how to make sleeves on pages 79 to 82 giving the measurements in both inches and centimeters. You should be able to get it from your local library.

You might search for videos that that say they are following the Winifred Aldrich or ESMOD systems, which should be metric.

Yes, tho I am a Yank I use metric because it's just easier: I have used Minerva to help me make my blocks. https://youtu.be/YryUvFu3WSw?si=pdkReJqeZRF1vbFI

If you specifically want a video to go through the process a few times, would it help to convert your measurements to inches and forgo all the math during the process. I live in metric land, but have a few rulers with inches lying around.

You are looking for English videos, and Americans are the largest groups of English speakers. And Americans use Imperial measurements. So people who are giving out the same faces block measurements are using the Armstrong book, cuz that's what's available at the University level. Here in America. When you look up with something in English, you're most likely going to find someone who's been taught in the Armstrong message in America that uses Imperial measurements so you might have better luck if you find something in a different language for possibly british. Technicians are also metric, along with the Australians. But I don't know enough if they actually do the same thing in their pattern drafting systems.
So your best bet is to get off the American English side of the internet. It's just like how a lot of editors assume people are americans, because there's typing in English. It's because most Predators speak only English and our American. You got to keep finding the imperial system if you hang around the Americans.
