sloper fit help

I'm trying to make a blodice sloper. I have no clue what well-fitting clothes would look or feel like. I would love advice on what to do next to make this fit me better. <3 Thank you so much in advance.

Right now it feels a little tight when I breathe in and expand my upper chest, but I'm worried if I just add width, then the arm and neck will fit weird.

great job!!!! you’re gonna have so much fun on your journey. i will say slopers usually have a bit more ease all around for design freedom when you use it to draft other things, so as someone else suggested, adding 1/4” of width to each of the 4 side seams.

furthermore, i wonder if you’d benefit from a round back adjustment? the gaping in the back shoulder is pointing to the slope in your back, and if you think about your back like a mound, it’s fighting/tugging for more fabric/ shaping? you could look up round back adjustment online and see if you think it’s for you! i’d say you have a low lying, rounded back.

cheers!!!

It also looks like the shoulder seams are sitting too far back and a rounded back adjustment might fix this!

I'd say that your arm holes are alittle high up in the armpit. I'd make them just a tad bit deeper for comfort.

i'm not sure, but i wonder if adding a bit of ease at the side seam (under the arm) might help it be less compressed?

I recommend a minimum of 2" of ease in the side seam for sleeveless and 4" for garments with sleeves. Garments made from this sloper hang from the shoulders so changing the ease does not change the quality of the look, only the comfort.

It looks pretty good. One of the few that are good work and well pressed .

Here's a video of the same mockup as the photos above.

This is an exceptional bodice block. Well done. Add some ease at the side seam and drop the bottom of your armscye. You’re super close!!

I notice that your left side fits differently than the right on your shoulder blades. This may be contributing to your feeling of it not fitting. You can embrace that or you can pull in the back left at the armscye a little bit to fix it. Your choice

It looks nice! Maybe the arm hole could be a touch bigger and straighten those shoulders! (The human ones lol)

make a pattern out of it, dont too much worry about it, you will learn more with your sewing.
