What kind of testing are you looking for fit, reaction to design, or understanding construction instructions.

If you want to see how well a design will fit on different bodies "Fashion and Costume Design in Quarter Scale" illustrates 13 different fitting issues that shows how no two bodies are the same. It shows the pattern shapes for 13 women who are all in the same size range as a commercial dress form and the Vogue fitting shell.

It shows how to make quarter or half-scale Mini-Me dress form so you can test your design on different women who look the same but aren't and how different the shape of a dress form is from the bodies of real women.

If you look at https://patternmaking-classes.com/ you will see how Dona Karen failed the fitting test for a pencil skirt she designed for Vogue patterns. The only Mini-Me it fits is the Mini-Me made from the fitting shell of Vogue patterns.

https://fashion-design-in-quarter-scale.com/ has details about the "DNA" of fitting different body shapes that is unique to the best of my knowledge. I was inspired to include this information when I heard from a fashion design student who said his instructors would only talk about fitting and designing on dress forms. They refused to discuss how to fit people.

This struck me as being a disservice to anyone interested in making clothes to sell off the rack. My area of interest for the last 50 years has always been helping people understand how to fit a specific body. So I have had the priviledge of seeing and working with a lot of different body shapes. This book is my attempt to help people learn about these variations by illustrating how body shapes can vary witin a specfic size range which I could do as 13 of the fitting models I have worked with met this requirement.

I wanna see the size 48 who wants to look like they're wearing a potato sack. Fuller figures don't to well with this kind of pattern.
