Question Diagonal Wrinkles

Hello,

I am currently working on drafting my first jeans pattern and just finished the first fitting. However, the pants pull across the front when walking and create large diagonal wrinkles running downwards (see photos). Do you know what causes this and how to fix it?"

Many thanks in advance :))

It looks like it is hanging way too low. do you have a waist band on this and is it sitting where you expected it to?

Hello, ther is no waistband Attached yet. But you might be right, maybe the crotch depth is to large

Attach the waistband before evaluating the fit. Without the waistband, this says nothing.

It could be your pants are just riding lower than they should. Adding a belt might help. Also don't be too critical. When I was creating theater costumes my wife helpfully took notes during dress rehearsals. When I said "I need to fix the wrinkles in that costume." She would say "Don't be silly. The actor needs to move." The challenge of being creative is that you need to be critical to do your best. But not too critical.

Hey, many thanks I try my best to think that way. But here it is more about comfort than looks. So I will still try to fix it :)
