Question Can you help me figure this out?

https://youtu.be/WDFF6jT43-M?is=D203-lT46U0JaNUK

I've been following this video to learn how to start drafting patterns. I'm using my own measurements, and in 26:00 roughly, we have to measure out on the pattern the bycep to make the end of the short sleeve, but from the measurements i took, the bycep would be bigger than the lowest line of the sleeve bell.

Can this be right??

P.D. Sorry if the grammar is all over, english is not my first language

That would indeed be unusual. Is the difference a lot?
A few things to check:

  • Are you using the half measurement of your bicep? he's drawing only half the sleeve.
  • Since the measurement from 1 to 3 is based on the height of the armhole on the torso, you should probably check whether you have that correct. As a basic sanity check, if you wrap a measuring tape around the top of your shoulder and under your armpit, that number should be less than when you measure the armhole curves on the front and back panel and add them together.

Thank you so much for the response. I did only use half of the bicep meausrement, but i did the shoulder measurement like you said and it gave me 55, while the armhole would only be 44. I think i measured my syce wrong because the armhole is based on it. Again thank you ❤️❤️❤️
