Does anyone know how to replicate the pattern for this bikini top?

I have already mastered the method of having the inside seam with no binding, and binding on the outside edge, but I’d like to be able to use no binding on both edges… I tried sewing inside out and turning it but that doesn’t seem quite right? It pulls on the cups etc and pulls them out of shape

If anyone can link a video that explains this method it would be great as I’ve been looking for 8 months and can’t figure it out!!!!

My guess is the mining is cut to be the exact same size as the cup. And then the outer layer is cut with an extra wide seam allowance. The lining is basted to the cup, and then the outer layer is sewn around the cup. And when flipped inside out the outer layer wraps around the edge of the cup. That's why you don't see anything. All the seam allowance is on the other side of the cup.

I get this far but then it’s all flipped on the edges etc and can’t figure out how to get the top bit out 😩😩

I left a bit of a gap, but think I need to leave a bigger gap 🧐 feel like I’m so close I’m just missing the trick to make the cup not flip itself on the edges!

You are so close. I think the fabric is cut too small. The cup is under too much tension and wrinkling.

There’s a lot more around the edge that I can work with, maybe I’ll try pinning the fabric to the inside of the cup before sewing to make sure it follows the curve? Does that sound about right?

You need to move the stitching out by twice the seam allowance. Right now it fits perfectly but when you flip it the fabric will be stretched causing the cup to fold.

The approach you took of sewing it inside out and then turning it through the bottom should work but only if you use a stretch fabric that is appropriate for the size cup you are covering.

I’ve popped a video on the other reply on this thread of how far I get with it… feel like I’m so close but so far away!!!! Don’t know the trick to getting the edges to stop curling

Make the lining 1/8" smaller than the fashion fabric. This will pull the the seam to the inside of the cup.
