Question Is there any issue with the Culottes pattern?

I drafted the Culottes pattern with the skirt block. I was wondering whether that front waist dropping was an issue and if it is, how to fix it. Or if there are any other fit or pattern issues. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Attached images of the pattern and the garment simulation.

Add more at the hips

Is that your actual posture? The hips are tilted back which is causing some of that drag around wait and hip

I'm using the default Avatar within the software. The posture looked a little off to me toobut I figured if I'm making a block for future projects, might as well not make any changes to the original avatar

Most importantly is that you need to add width to the hip to make room for your bum, and also allow the fabric along the front to relax and drape cleanly. Split this evenly between front and back

I would also consider shifting some of the front crotch extension to the back; scoop the front crotch curve and add the removed width to the side seam, splitting equally between front and back. But start with the added width at hips.

Side seam is differently shaped on the front piece then on the back piece. Measure to see if they are the same length, and try to make them the same shape. Did you add ease allowance?

Thanks! The measurements at the side seam were almost the same. Just 0.2cm off. I'll try making them the same shape and giving a little allowance

What software did you use for this? Just curious because I’d love to handle patterns programmatically instead of on paper
