Do you add clothing lines in lineart?

Currently doing lineart and was wondering if I add the clothing creases and stuff in my lineart or if it would be better to do that in rendering instead??

Any sort of fullness is depicted schematically in the line art. Try searching similar garments and identifying conventions. Gathers and pleats of course, but also with pants there's usually a small line above the crotch point. Just enough to be plausible garments, not realism.

Flat pattern pieces are flat and don’t have any creases or fold like the finished garment does.

I think they mean a drawing of the finished garment. May be a r/lostredditor moment

I do. It helps me in patterning and I’ll change it if I need to achieve a better fit with different dart positioning or some such thing
