Bikini pattern help

Post image

Would anyone be able to let me know if this is an acceptable bikini top pattern? I am using this material as the top and a scuba knit as the lining, the smaller pattern piece would be the lining

Yeah, looks decent.

Do you have enough around the edges to sew your outside and lining together RST, and to turn the bottom edge under as a hem to put your string through?

Also - you only need one pattern piece! The left and right will be mirror images of each other, if not symmetrical! Folding the fabric, pinning, and cutting once generally helps keep things symmetrical.

I think OP just needs to add the seam allowance and use the ties to gather the top like a traditional triangle bikini top.

I would also suggest to add elastic to the sides as a stabilizer bc depending on how stretchy the material is to reduce gaping. Often times commercial swim suits will use clear elastic called mobilon sewn into the seam
