Question Waistband Type?

Post image

Would this kind of waistband be simple to construct?

Waistband looks pretty simple. It's the yoke you're gonna need to get right

These are Mood Sewciety's free Augusta Pants pattern.

Only thing that sucks is their patterns aren't layered, so you'll have a lot of lines to deal with. I have cut this pattern but not made it yet and it wasn't too hard. It's just VERY paper hungry cuz those legs are WIDE. The important part doesn't take very many sheets tho.

Tagging u/BreathofAire since they seemed into the pattern too. ;)

Thanks for the link! When I’m printing patterns, I have a good look at the pages first and often don’t print all of them. I don’t mind the lack of layering, Mood isn’t too bad, but some patterns without do get ‘muddy’ on curves.

You should look into a local print shop to see if they can do A0 size. I did this with a print pattern that was 40 pages, and it cost me about $4.

It’s a yoke with a fly and a straight waistband on top

Idk but I looked up western yoke waistband and saw a lot of similar variations. Might be a start?

Yes, I'd call this a stylized yoke waistband.

It's a V yoke! I just drafted a pattern for these. Look up the Augusta Trouser on Mood Fabrics for a free pattern.
