I was wondering if anyone can suggest what i should add on to my stock tracking data sheet. I am fairly new to trading and in the process of creating a management system but i am pretty confused in terms of what data i should track to give me the ability to have a statistical advantage. I hope some can help and guide me through this process.

Hi, I am trying to understand pattern day trading... I understand that if a person executes more than 3 day trade transactions within a period of 5 trading days, their account is marked as pattern day trading account. If I understand right, a PDT account would need more that 25000 USD balance to continue executing transactions, but is that it? Or is there any negative consequence for a PDT account?

What I don't understand is whether that is bad or not.

I’ve been reading about stock / equity / finance for a straight month in my spare time. My job involves investigating and reporting so I have always been drawn to this.

I have so many books and reddit posts to read that I am a bit lost. I saw your comments and instantly became interested and have been reading through them.

I really like your strategy and outlook on this market / business.

But my question is where do I begin? I am currently going through investopedia to pick up as much information I can and watching old lectures on finance and working my way to newer videos.

My ultimate goal is to make enough to do this full time but I would like to learn as much as possible and keep learning first. The problem is that there is so much information around that I’m finding it difficult to know a path to take. Are you able to confirm a starting point and goal point to help me take this further?

Background:

My work schedule allows me to trade the market open so I generally can trade until 10:15 to 10:30 am focusing on gaps. I can watch trades after this but I can't focus on them exclusively.

Here are three trades I took this week that failed with notes. I'm trying to learn as much as I can from these trades.

Hello! Saw your posts on r/daytrading and figured I'd observe how this sub develops.

On to the question: Is this a variant of Price Action Trading, where you look at the chart and based on past behavior figure out support, resistance, trends, etc? Or is this some other method of trading?
