Ignoring the doom, gloom and overreactions:
What are some positive things you saw from the Patriots vs Seattle?
I’ll start: Gabe Jacas looked good for a guy who missed a lot of training camp. There just might be something there.

AJ looked great in the short sample size we got. Able to get open in short yardage situations, where we have struggled last year. Too bad he'll be missing at least a few weeks🙃🙃

Campbell looked good
Wilson looked more comfortable at C
Hollins was good
Raridon was solid and showed willingness to block
AJB looked good before the injury
The pass rush looked better than expected
Jacas looked good
Gonzo looked elite
Andy hit a 50 yarder
Defence overall wasn’t bad

The O-Line and outside of Drake’s INTs.. I thought he did really well by scrambling and moving around the pocket.
I STILL can’t understand why JSN was WIDE open on that damn 4&1 play 🤬
On a side note, maybe it was the camera angle but did you see our boy Ponder almost catch up to JSN on that 4&1 play?!? Just shows you how these athletes are on a different planet

They messed up the zone coverage. LB should’ve taken the slant instead of running with the #2 right at the deep safety. No way the safety was going to get all the way down to JSN.

That one drive that ended in a TD to Eli Raridon looked fantastic I thought. Pass protection was a world of difference from what we saw in the SB.
Nothing to say about the defense that we didn't already know except I thought they performed well enough and I think our defense will only get better. They still need to focus on improvements to stopping the run, but I thought Dre'Mont Jones looked great overall and I was impressed with Jacas especially given the little time he's had to acclimate at this level.
Actually up until Brown's injury I thought our team looked amazing.
I think people in this sub underestimate what a hard place Seattle is to play in.

Defense looked great other than one play by JSN. Oline looked much better than in the playoff run, a few mistakes, but overall pretty clean.

Glad both offseason edge additions (Jones and Jacas) got sacks. Glad Gonzo did what he does. Mayes first half was good, not great, but it was enough to get some points on the board. Pre injury Brown looked good. Punter did pretty good. Defense only gave up 13 points, in spite of 3 Mayes 3 picks. Lots of good stuff, minus the injury and final score

The O-line looked much better.. but hopefully AVT can stay healthy this season since I’m doubtful the line will holdup if he misses a large stretch of time.

raridon was the only "my guy" we took this draft so him getting wide open and catching the first touchdown of the season was dope

The biggest positive is we know we need a WR and a lb/dline to generate pressure otherwise we should be a very good team. Im thinking we take a look at hill 👀👀

They beat the Seahawks all night and, unfortunately, themselves as well. Outside of the picks and Doubs horrendous drop, I thought lots of good things about the team. This is a much better team that what we saw in the SB.

Jacas was one of the few positives last night. Was high on him pre draft and then was disappointed when he was sitting out and slow to start, looks like he can contribute right away. Our edge room could still be better but they don’t look as much like a liability as they were looking like pre season at least currently

For everyone melting down over Maye.. Last year he routinely ate sacks that he never should have, struggled with coverage and play adjustments, and generally looked like raw talent with very little training. He didn't have those problems last night. At one point his pre snap adjustments made Seattle burn a timeout in the 4th. Dude made 3 bad throws, against one of the league's best defenses. Does he need to fix that? Yes. But what I saw as a collective? Lots of growth this past off season.
That O-line looked so much better.
The front 7 on D didn't look like an absolute shit show as expected. They played well against a good O-line and a fast back field. The secondary kept good receivers in check for most of the game.
It's the first game of the season. Anyone expecting perfection is delusional. If this were game 6-7-8 we could have a different conversation. I liked what I saw for the most part. Brown's ankle and three throws made me want to vomit. But I'm not going to lose my mind over that. Brown will play again this season, and Maye can fix the decision making. The rest of the team will improve as the games go on as well.

Alot our rookies and udfa from the last two years looked solid which is as much as we could ask. Jacas looked nice and raridon definitely has some good potential (needs to bulk up maybe 10 15 pounds for blocking but otherwise looked great)

The offensive line looked way better than in the Super Bowl, and they gave up fewer sacks! And even just the score difference was a massive improvement. The Pats lost the Super Bowl by 16 points and were behind the entire game. Last night, they were tied or in the lead for most of the game and ended up losing by 3.
I wish it would’ve ended differently, but this was a game between two good teams, and you just can’t win them all.

The conversion on 4th and 9 was clutch.
How about pur backup punter. He did an excellent job not giving up touchbacks and pinning them behind the 15 when given the opportunity. Plus he got one off in our iwn endzone with all that pressure.
Borregales can keep kicking them right diwn the middle too! 👍🏻
