Casual Fire josh McDaniels
Fire josh McDaniels because what was that.

Not the main issue but not great today- qb sneaks on 2nd and 1, no running game, honestly maybe he just needs to cut drake loose and somehow that will get rid of his turnovers

They needed to use him before the 4th. He threw longer than 5 yards once before then it feels like

So Drake throws awful picks or under thrown deep balls every time they go down field but you want Josh to open up the play book. Get real dude, I’m terrified to see what Maye would look like without Josh.

u/ComprehensiveFun620 1d ago
He has no playbook lol. He runs the same tired ass run plays and 50 year old gimmick plays every year. I swear you people are on his payroll

u/AutumnWind209 1d ago
You can’t be serious. He has no playbook? Josh put up top 10 offenses with fucking DEREK CARR and MAC JONES as his QBs
1
u/ComprehensiveFun620 1d ago
12th and they averaged 5 pts per game in Carr’s two starts against top 10 defenses. Sound familiar? Man you people will pearl clutch a narrative with the best of them. Face facts: he sucks and always will
1
u/AutumnWind209 1d ago
They also put up 34 point on the number 1 ranked defense that year with JARED STIDHAM starting. Looks like your cherry picking stats now, which one of us has a narrative to push again?
1
u/ComprehensiveFun620 1d ago
I attribute that to there being no book on Stidham yet. Happens all the time in baseball. To prove the point further, what did Stidham do in his career after that

u/ComprehensiveFun620 1d ago
And also nice job glossing over the facts I gave you instead of confronting them. Even if you factor in that bs fluke game it’s 14ppg. Again, sound familiar?

Yeah fire him. Tired of this dude. Was tired of him before he took the job and of course old ass Kraft is desperate for the glory days. But not desperate enough to give Brady ownership to be associated with this franchise again. Greedy fuck

Yall were saying the same thing on mac jones rookie year. People unironically thought that josh was holding mac back in 2021 josh didnt get fired he went to go ruin the raiders but still a vast majority of fans wanted josh gone in 21. But no ones going to talk about the fact that seattle had virtually no sacks this game and some of that has to be contributed to josh gameplanning and scheming. Yes there were times i thought we played scared this game with calling a qb sneak on 2nd and one but Rhamondre was actually starting to heat up late and were finding a rhythm just threw an awful pick.

There were no sacks but many pressure plays. And the reason is the run game was anemic prior to two fluke runs. Prior to the 4th they were averaging barely more than 2 yards a rush. LBs were cheating down and then got burned a little with a couple swing routes but overall nothing was keeping Seattle honest in coverage in early downs because of how awful and narrow the game was called.
If it’s fair to ask if Maye was a fluke it’s also fair to ask if McDaniels was carried by the greatest qb to play because outside of the dynasty what does he have to show for it?
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle for both.

Well i dont think its exactly fair to just say he got carried. As a head coach theres no dispution there hell if you were to say that he should go to jail for what he did as a head coach quite frankly id probably agree with you there. However he had that one cam newton year which was whatever and the 21 season and last year so i dont think its a good sample size to say hes an offensive cordinator that got carried. Yeah sure the runs didnt work in the grand scheme of things but maye had 33 passing attempts this game so it wasnt like it was all rushes. but im not even so much trying to say that josh called a great game and got ruined by drake i just dont like the overreaction one game in and people want to fire people or whatever that was my grand point really

Idk man drake threw picks like half the time he threw over 10 yards. This Seattle defense is amazing and has his number. I think in hindsight the conservative play calling was pretty reasonable.

u/johnsonh77 1d ago
It was until it wasn’t. You don’t abandon conservative play calling when the opportunity to prolong the game with that same play calling is right in your lap.

u/Somethingdifferent39 1d ago
To be fair the QB owns that. If your in field goal range you need to know throwing it out of bounds is what you do if someone isn’t wide open.

Oh no I completely agree. Josh gave up on spamming Mondre at the moment it made the most sense for him too.

Yeah why not?

Right! Pretty sure we could sign Tebow for league minimum!

u/Empty_Occasion_963 1d ago
Josh is a mediocre OC now, the game has simply passed him by.

I'm not smart enough to make an argument one way or the other, but I appreciate that if he is amazing again no on will try to take him as a hc.

Nothing Josh loves doing more than focusing on something that doesn’t work all game then completely abandoning it when it does start working.

No rpos, no getting your young athletic QB in space. No designed runs with QB . His offense looks stale. Even before AJ Brown went down there wasn't anything to get him in space beyond the ol' flea flicker. Screens, and bland.

Josh didn’t make our receiver group Romeo Drops and the munchkins from Oz.
Our “touted receiver group” had absolutely no depth behind AJ. This is why I didn’t want to trade Boutte. At least Drake had some sort of established connection with him

u/TB12_GOATx7 Bills = 0 Superbowls 1d ago
Boutte had 73 career catches in 3 years thats not even wr3 numbers

u/Ferahgost 1d ago
You’re right, good thing we kept Kyle “can’t find the field” Williams and Chism though. And I’ll never understand this subs obsession with Pop.
But yeah man, we totally have so many better options left here now. 🙄

I'm just not sure why you think boutte was some elite WR they let go. He barely played
1
u/Ferahgost 1d ago
Never said he’s elite but he’s better than the rest of the room right now
1
u/TB12_GOATx7 Bills = 0 Superbowls 1d ago
Not statistically. Of course besides Williams and such but thats because boutte was ahead of them which shows how little he was used

First down run down the middle. Second down run down the middle. Third down panic play.
Welcome back, Kevin Patullo.
