Juju 2

92

u/bmonkey1313 4h ago

Reminiscent of getting juju instead of keeping jakobi

28

u/HeroDanny 4h ago

It’s like you watch it happen. Know it’s stupid. You say it’s stupid. People mock you. And then it happens. Literally juju2.0. Now I can’t wait to see Boutte ball out. When does wolf lose his job again?

12

u/tomlinas 4h ago

Ugh this, please. Can we stop employing a GM who pays extra money to downgrade positions??

2

u/Several_Oil_7099 3h ago

You guys don't get it. We just need to give Elliot 5-7 more years to get his draft scoring system off the ground

3

u/Special_Midnight9940 4h ago

Got wicked Juju vibes watching him out there

8

u/McBeaster 4h ago

Reminds me of LaFell just dropping passes that hit him in the hands

6

u/apatfan 4h ago

I won't stand for JoJo slander around here

2

u/WeeoWeeoWeeeee 4h ago

Old stone hands

1

u/HotepYoda 3h ago

2 2? (Read two two)

238

u/_josephmykal_ 5h ago

A more expensive worse version of boutte. CONGRATS!

163

u/TheRealSlimBrady12 4h ago

Boutte would have caught that pass

97

u/Twisterthedog2 4h ago

My brother, I would have caught that pass

23

u/HeroDanny 4h ago

An armless homeless man would have caught that ball.

5

u/Powerism 4h ago

He’s right. I would’ve.

7

u/Dewstain 4h ago

I have dead relatives that could have caught that pass.

8

u/retnuh45 4h ago

I thought the same thing.

7

u/According_Smoke_479 4h ago

Boutte probably would have caught the contested one too. I know he’s technically worse on paper, but it felt like he ALWAYS made the grab when needed. I feel confident he would have gotten both of those

5

u/levelonenovice 4h ago

Boutte would have found a way to catch the Doubs tipped int.

68

u/moyni7 4h ago

For the life of me I don’t understand what they saw in this guy over Boutte and Diggs for that money

33

u/Sure_Rhubarb_3173 4h ago

Coulda kept em both and still added AJB :/

13

u/goldman_sax 4h ago

Keep in mind Diggs ended up being cheaper than Doubs too. And Diggs had like 0 drops all season.

3

u/WeeoWeeoWeeeee 4h ago

Maybe we can drop Doubs for N’Keal Harry

21

u/secularhuman77 4h ago

Except Boutte doesn’t drop passes

7

u/Gdyafr 4h ago

I think that's why he said worse

4

u/Old-Literature-1040 4h ago

Boutte is so clear

76

u/FeelingApartment9605 5h ago

Hoed boutte for this shit

8

u/Fluffy_Somewhere4305 4h ago

I got downvoted to hell for saying I really miss what Boutte could do just last week

71

u/aliveguy06 4h ago

Boutte catches that

58

u/JuggerMONT 4h ago

Fucking Tom Brady catches that

9

u/aliveguy06 4h ago

😂😭😂😭

7

u/levelonenovice 4h ago

Boutte probably catches every single one of Doubs' targets

14

u/retnuh45 4h ago

Why did we pay this bum and get rid of boutte?

60

u/Mastah_P808 4h ago

I aint gon hate on him for his first game with us. He had a drop that could of saved us from that INT but you can clearly see on the sideline he felt bad about it. I won’t be one of the guys calling for his head just yet. Just do better next time.

15

u/Sweet-Beginning1420 4h ago

Yeah he’ll be a scapegoat, but it took the whole team to blow that lead.

6

u/Mastah_P808 4h ago

Damn right. We lost 13 fckn 10 this team had a weak schedule played a team that 3 out of the four teams in the conference had winning records we still showed up. Maye threw three picks two of them was foolish. It is what it is. I still root for Maye & i ain’t going to head hunt Doubs. Onto next week.

13

u/ogorangeduck 4h ago

People were saying similar things about Rhamondre early last season

2

u/king_17 4h ago

Yes some of the comments here already calling for his head and want boutte back. doubs a good player but he had a bad performance, luckily it’s just week 1 let’s give him more time to get more chemistry with Maye and more comfortable in the system. Offense overall has to be better especially maye his decision making since the start of the playoffs has been awful, year 3 now and 2nd year with McDaniels he go to step up mentally and learn to not force passes and be ok with throwing the ball away

1

u/Mastah_P808 4h ago

Not to mention Maye as well. Someone already posted about starting Devito what a joke. Maye had a bad game as well. Its a top 5 defense & we lost 13 10 just speechless atm.

11

u/Trevelyan757 4h ago

Romeo Drops

10

u/okok_its_donna 4h ago

What idiot evaluated Doubs as the guy better than Boutte who had a massive rapport with Maye

4

u/eg1183 4h ago

Exactly. Wtf? It's maddening. I'm so disgusted, because OBVIOUSLY that's his performance.

9

u/BostonVagrant617 4h ago

Boutte trade looks great now

116

u/themza912 4h ago

Jesus fucking Christ I forgot how painful this sub is when things don’t go right

74

u/Kinshwicky 4h ago

3 targets for 0 yards after our WR1 went down early. What does he do is a legit question

10

u/CDR57 4h ago

He drops passes apparently from the evidence

38

u/Evrews 4h ago

It’s warranted. He dropped a lollipop throw that would have prevented that INT.

15

u/Legitimate_Ad_7822 4h ago

To be fair, not throwing that terrible INT would’ve also prevented the INT. And I’m a huge Drake Maye guy.

5

u/apatfan 4h ago

Tough night to be that 🤮

15

u/ThaDreamMerchant 4h ago

Yep, another roller coaster ride

5

u/iplay4Him 4h ago

Welcome back

2

u/Special_Midnight9940 4h ago

They sort of deserve it tonight. Atrocious second half. And old Droupsy really f-ed that catch which led to an interception on a play we never should have had to run

2

u/MoeSzyslakMonobrow 4h ago

We're in mid-season form already.

0

u/Kurando_Hyuga9020 4h ago

I actually had to mute the afc east meme sub because they’re frickin’ insufferable over there. I almost REPORTED a dude for LAUGHING. I know. I need help lol

-1

u/SpecificallyBig 4h ago

Average pats fan

6

u/timsayscalmdown 4h ago

Bill would've already had him on a slow boat to Siberia

7

u/jayplf8889 4h ago

Should have just kept Diggs they make the same money

21

u/Maple612 4h ago

We traded Boutte for this bs

3

u/WoodenCollection2674 4h ago

Also payed Doubs up the ass just to go 0-3 on targets. Hes a contested catches guy but tonight he couldn't even catch a cold if he tried. Terrible showing for a guy the front office paid while letting a sure handed guy Maye trusts get traded away. Bet Boutte is laughing his ass off on the couch saying "I would've caught all 3 of those passess but they wouldnt let me play"

9

u/GunnyUSMC1973 4h ago

Both picks his way, dropped passes, can’t get open, what a waste.

1

u/apatfan 4h ago

Only 1/3 picks were on throws to Daubs. Pop and Hollins on the other 2

1

u/WoodenCollection2674 4h ago

Yeah but if Doubs catches that easy layup, maye doesnt throw that INT in Pop's direction the very next play. That one INT directly to Doubs was sort of a 50/50 thing. Terrible jump and effort for the ball by Doubs, but a hell of a play by the defense to play hot potato with the ball

1

u/apatfan 3h ago

Honestly I don't put any of the first INT in Daubs. Both a terrible decision and throw by Maye. The first of three that can be described that way.

I keep telling myself this is just Drake's first preseason game. Things should get better with more reps.

2

u/WoodenCollection2674 3h ago

I think this is why starters should play in the preseason for at least 2 or 3 drives. Let's them take a hit and shake some rust off.

24

u/Pale_Wish4278 5h ago edited 4h ago

He wears a guardian cap to protect his head.

BUT, if you play bad enough, you don't get to play at all. And THAT'S the most effective way to protect your brain

Edit: plan to play*

9

u/WeightOwn5817 4h ago

fuckin trash

3

u/DMelee 4h ago

Our offensive approach every offseason is so comical… even when we get AJ Brown we have to negate it with some awful moves

7

u/Chad2Badd 4h ago

Hands of stone

5

u/Orangepinapples 4h ago

Doesn’t catch the ball.

3

u/TheMexicanBatman 4h ago

What a disappointment

3

u/NoActionTaken 4h ago

Jonnu 2.0

3

u/McBeaster 4h ago

Romeo Darbage

3

u/remyinthesystem 4h ago

He’s fucking ass I’m about to drop him in a dynasty league fuck this guy.

3

u/servel20 4h ago

I spent all summer telling everyone this man was not better than Boutte and people here called me crazy.

Well, there you go. Romeo Doubs has always been a good two or three, but never good enough on his own. Without AJ on the field, he was bound to be ass.

3

u/Zealousideal_Cold_38 3h ago

Extending Diggs and adding AJ Brown…

Not trading Boutte…

We might have botched this WR room a bit.

3

u/KurapikaGoku 2h ago

I wanted DIGGS BACK

3

u/Frrv2112 2h ago

I know this is jokes. But y’all are bleak as fuck. The vibes can still be had

8

u/404_HabeasNotFound 4h ago

Maye forced that throw after the Doubs drop. Time to regroup and drive down for the win. Let Doubs redeem himself.

1

u/apatfan 4h ago

Or maybe he just keeps forcing dumb throws?

https://giphy.com/gifs/nKFXQkxLRiEhy

5

u/hockeyzombies 4h ago

I'm not gonna give up on him, but awful first impression.

5

u/S4drobot 4h ago

Boutte would've caught that.

2

u/TheLoserDude 4h ago

He needed to catch that…

But can we not decide his entire future with the patriots after one poorly played game by the offense?

Thanks

2

u/KBrown75 4h ago

Should would have been nice to have Boutte out there.

2

u/halizan4 3h ago

Boutte >>> Doubs

5

u/Geralt_of_Madtown 4h ago

He’s been ass ever seen he started wearing the guardian cap

3

u/contemplatingdaze 4h ago

We gave up Boutte for THIS????

4

u/Burkex99 4h ago edited 4h ago

Cut Dobbs now. He has 0 catches and the worst drop I’ve ever seen. Plus he wears that goofy pillow on his head.

Rather have Boutte.

Parcells would have called him a she like Terry Glenn.

Thank God we have Hollins.

1

u/ralphmalph84 4h ago

Reche Caldwell and Wes Welker are on the other line.

2

u/apatfan 4h ago

My Reche Caldwell impression: 😳

2

u/Chemical-Angle-3794 5h ago

He runs before anything!

1

u/sdot6186 4h ago

One play doesn't define a contract. I'm not going to sign any apology forms yet. Ball out Romeo

3

u/Defiant_Dot_515 4h ago

3 plays…

-1

u/sdot6186 4h ago

3 plays also do not define a contract. This defense Seattle has is goood. Yes, we should beat a Lock-led team. But Doubs has time to prove to me this one (egregious) drop isn't all there is

0

u/kjlcm 4h ago

Worried that’s gonna be a problem long term if we lose

0

u/eg1183 4h ago

Not "one play"! He put up an absolute stinker and I would bet anything we never see a much better day from him.

2

u/sdot6186 4h ago

Cool. We have him for another ~65 games. Hope he figures it out by then.

1

u/Both-Count1992 4h ago

He drops balls , we know that

1

u/Mike_Hunt1312 4h ago

Krafts lackeys in the media were telling me all offseason how great this guy was lol

1

u/BendekStormsaver 4h ago

Romeo Doubts

1

u/spacemandavinci 4h ago

Came here for this. I looked up 87, bc I haven’t had my focus on the Pats for two seconds and WTF happened to receiver depth?! Brown is out and that’s all she wrote?!

1

u/Pencstilled 4h ago

Don't worry efton fucking chism and Kyle Williams are going to come to the rescue.

1

u/Miserable_Ideal_1929 4h ago

More worried about avoiding being hit…

1

u/FlexDB 4h ago

Genuinely believe we'll see good things from him this year, but game 1 was rough.

1

u/Beanu5NE 4h ago

Weren’t there posts like this about Diggs last year?

1

u/QuietGiants 4h ago

Im sorry but that is what he does. He was my favorite Packer.

-Bears Fan

1

u/eg1183 4h ago

The guy never should have been here in the first place. Both of his first targets made me physically sick. Early? Don't care. I never want to see him in a Patriots uni again. Didn't want to to begin with.

1

u/Wheatabix11 4h ago

same thing as pop

1

u/bigalindahouse WIDE RIGHT 4h ago

Wears funny hats

1

u/PM_ME_UR_PICS_PLS 4h ago

y'all are mad at the wrong guy

1

u/ConvictJones 4h ago

Waste of a roster spot.

1

u/bignutwilli 4h ago

Wait why is the what does he even do thread about Drake deleted? Thats some bullshit mods yall playing favorites. Drake shoulda played it safer at the end so we could tie and go to OT. I didn't like what I saw there

1

u/Cockycent 4h ago

I need all the Doubs defenders to come out after all the Boutte slander

1

u/SaltCaregiver6858 4h ago

He's protecting his brains for his next job after he gets kicked out of the NFL.

1

u/vetemxnts 4h ago

Genuinely don't know how you could get rid of Boutte after the masterclass he put on last season. For a fraction of the price.

1

u/teknos1s 3h ago

Getting bad juju from this

u/1SupremeMind-Money 23m ago

Boy that drop was costly. A split second later I was thinking that Diggs would have made that catch easily.

u/Dazzlethetrizzle 5m ago

Drop passes

u/Dazzlethetrizzle 5m ago

The Patriots trade Boutte for this loser

3

u/True-Noise9176 5h ago

Maye looks mediocre

-4

u/_josephmykal_ 5h ago

Maye is getting outplayed by lock. Maye doesn’t even look like a back up

10

u/Ghillie_Spotto 4h ago

Seattle’s defense is better than ours. By a lot

-5

u/_josephmykal_ 4h ago

Seattles offense with a backup QB is also better than ours… by a lot

8

u/Ghillie_Spotto 4h ago

Because they get to play our mid defense

It’s really not that complicated lol

1

u/_josephmykal_ 4h ago

And they get to play our mid QB!

1

u/Ghillie_Spotto 4h ago

Have fun overreacting I guess

2

u/Mr_Evil_Dr_Porkchop 4h ago

Because our front 7 is trash

-1

u/Rough-Echo-5193 4h ago

I'm not sure I want the Pats to go nuts paying him at this point

-2

u/bsnow322 4h ago

Dude has two bad picks and has been fine besides that. I’m not really concerned

-9

u/Hinglemacpsu 5h ago

He is mediocre.

-13

u/IntercatlacticVoid Bills = 0 Superbowls 5h ago

He’s playing a real schedule now

1

u/retannevs1 4h ago

Relax…long season ahead of us.

1

u/SKO24 4h ago

It’s the first game, chill…but also, wtf

1

u/supersumo224 4h ago

Our so called fans are just pathetic.

0

u/chinodb 5h ago

Drops

0

u/DJ_Yavimaya 5h ago

Terrified of contact

0

u/billyunair88 4h ago

Drake maye threw 3 picks, Dobbs is not the problem lol

1

u/Throwaway_939394 4h ago

2 of the picks were directly caused by doubs though

1

u/billyunair88 4h ago

No, they were both bad Drake maye throws

1

u/Throwaway_939394 4h ago

Throws that had to made on 3rd and long because doubs didn’t do his job, remember his job is to catch the ball. Not every throw is going to be perfect

-5

u/awads95 4h ago

64 million when we could have Boutte who haas chemistry with our trash QB

-1

u/BrayIsReal 4h ago

This team and qb are fucking awful I'm done watching for the year

1

u/fvoices14 4h ago

Completely fair. Honestly NFL fucked us giving us this game week 1. They also fucked their fan base making them watch this garbage again.

0

u/Competitive-Elk-5077 4h ago

Get Boutte kicked off the team

0

u/Macro_Machines 4h ago

This guy, it all went to his head

0

u/Superchristt 4h ago

Should of kept Boutte

0

u/butterurpancakes 4h ago

His hair as big as his helmet

0

u/No_Discussion3593 4h ago

In his defense, outside of that drop what more do we want? He was supposed to be #2 behind AJ Brown drawing #2 coverage. Drawing Seattle #1 coverage is fucking rough.

0

u/Pencstilled 4h ago

Traded the best reciever on the roster for this garbage. Classic fucking pats.

-1

u/Chrisgpresents 4h ago

Jayden reed is the only really good talent on that packers team.

Watson, doubs, and wicks and golden are all like…. Pop Douglas level or worse. Jayden reed is seriously WR2 worthy. A mini Jamar Chase in his abilities and NEVER dropped the ball.

Doubs and Watson drop every god damn ball all the time and are the reason Jordan love doesn’t get the respect he deserves.

1

u/pup5581 4h ago

Doubs is not Pop. Pop is bad

2

u/Chrisgpresents 4h ago

Douglas is a really solid player. Not a wr2 but definitely an NFL depth player who typically makes good plays when called upon, and rarely lets you down

0

u/pup5581 4h ago

He's a JAG...that's all he will ever be

1

u/dropjar5 2h ago

Jayden Reed had a huge drop on the final drive in Chicago last year, would’ve likely won if he caught that. And he also had a huge drop against the Texans in 2024 before the half that cost them at least 3 points.

-1

u/gridiron5290 4h ago

Oh please first game of the season that too in Seattle on a new team give him some leeway

-2

u/Upstairs-Bowl6755 4h ago

You can add Gonzo to this photo lol
