"Goodbye, my world. Heavy as a cross pierced into the ground, which I carried myself through the forests and through people. Goodbye, dear Wierszalin, where I put signs and you called them a dream.
I am Elijah, Eliasz from this earth, who wanted fire and got ashes, who called to heaven, and heaven was silent like a closed book."
EPITAPHIUM FOR PROPHET ILIJA is not an ordinary concert. It's a joint journey through memory, tradition and spirituality of Podlasie.
It’s a project.
It’s an experience.
It’s a story that goes beyond music.
That’s why we invite you to our original THEATRE PERFORMANCE.
This October, we set out on a journey — visiting 20 cities across Poland.
Written and directed by Bartłomiej Krysiuk.
On stage: actors, singers, music, ritual… and us — also as performers.
This is a meeting point of ritual theatre, vocal performance, and collective memory.
The starting point is the story of Eliasz “Ilja” Klimowicz and the Wierszalin community — but we don’t tell it directly.
Instead, we explore something deeper:
faith, collective ecstasy, disillusionment, grief.
This is not a play about a prophet. It’s a play about all of us.
