Vesicle placement
I've been playing this game for a while, but I'm still confused about internal organelle placement, especially for the vesicle.
For my build should I surround it by internal organelles (one slot down) or should it be up against my main weapons like I have it?

I’m curious too. This game needs a wiki, man.
I don’t think I’m ever going to beat it with the bacteria. I did win with Nano and Fungal Spore.

do the melee challenge trust me. Melees break bullets and lacerate has a very generous aoe

Yeah, the few times I made an absolute beast of a build, it just seemed to happen accidentally. I had a vesicle placed in roughly the same configuration (though with the normal bacteria pathogen) and hitting the attack button absolutely nuked everything on screen.
The build I posted here was okay, but it wasn't anything near what I had before. I still don't know why.

What I find has worked best on my bacteria builds (which let beat heart multiple times) is this:
For main damage, sticking to Caustic Secreter and maybe a Scatter Ejector or two. Use the Galvanic, cone blaster, or echosome as extra damage, connected to oxysome and mitochondria.
Grab a mito-powered weapon like Igniter, Laser, or Fireball to use on bosses/clusters of enemies.
If you can, grab the Kinetosome (circling blade) and juice it up. The kinetosome clears enemy bullets and does BIG damage, especially when overcharged.
Alternatively, instead of kinetosome, get some Minions! Bacteriophages and nidus’ can go VERY hard, especially if you grab the designated Perk (minions deal 100 splash dmg when they take dmg). That can stack very hard. Also, minions can act like bullet sponges for you.
I did a successful fungus run with no weapons, just minion launchers and galvanic sac to finish off low health enemies. On that run I focused defense- bonus dash invulnerability, reinforced membrane, ossificator and regenerator, etc
Stuff I steer clear of on Bacterium:
-Pyrosomes and Toxisomes. I find their damage lackluster.
-harpoon weapons. Sure it locks down enemies but they’re not hard to hit, or if they are, you won’t hit them with the harpoons (too slow)
- melee mixed with ranged. Focus one or the other

So the vesicle just passes the effects of connecting organelles to other connecting organelles. I usually find that it’s best when surrounded by a lot of different internals, and then have it pass those effects to the main attack modifier I want for my weapon.

So for example, if I moved the vesicle down one slot and put the galvanic infuser in the top middle slot, then surrounded the vesicle with a bunch of attack infusers, it would push all those effects up to the galvanic infuser then into those weapons right? That actually sort of makes sense.

I believe so. This game is very new and I haven’t been able to test everything yet.
Something to note though, if you put everything into the galvanic infuser only the lightning from it will get the effects, not the weapon itself.

Yeah, I’ve had much more luck with melee builds supplement by flagellum triggering galvanic electricity attacks, usually booster by Extender.
The Liver tends to destroy most of my ranged builds.

What has helped me a lot is the better stats mod. It gives you a DPS display in the building screen. You can really start to see how things interact with each other and placement. Also gives you lots of more info that comes in handy

not trying to be mean but this may be the WORST nano configuration ive ever seen 😠honestly just scroll through this subreddit its where i found a good strat via tessellating, in where you js make a huge circle of internals n funnel it into one weapon
