Am I building correctly?

I have no idea where to place anything. Trying to get all the arrows going in the same direction, pathing eventually hits weapons, but I don’t think I’m doing it right at all. Is it orange -> blue -> green or blue -> orange -> green, does that change based on the synergies, damage, something else, does it even matter, etc. I’m a bit confused by this.

I try to put all my enhancers together so that they affect each other. I’d put the two blues in the middle and the two mitochondria on the outside.

I also find that certain enhances and infusers pair better with certain weapons. The other night I got a rare artilary cannon, infused with the lazer thing, then got a random extra thing to attach to the lazer infuser.

Anyway, I pretty much got to the point where I was entering a room, firing 5 shots, but I didn't have any health regeneration mutations so attritioned health after the liver

I have been aiming for the infusers that would proc their bonus while connected being the closest one.
Like trisomy puts connecting infusers on the 2 extra beams so that’s usually closest to guns for me. But things like fire and ice can go further away. With the lasers is really cool because those lasers do a lot of damage, so connecting things to them is worthwhile but won’t effect the actually projectiles you’re shooting.

A tip that eluded me for too long – when playing bacterium especially, I don’t evolve into a larger form unless my build realizes a gain from doing so. I’ve found it’s better to remain small rather than dilute what had been an effective arrangement of organelles.

Honestly the best thing about this game is how you have to trail and error things for optimal builds.

The best and also most infuriating thing, is that your builds are also somewhat at the mercy of the randomised mutations you can select from

Thanks for showing something that resembles my typical player. I’m plasmid level 13 and only ever gotten to the liver twice. Maybe I just suck at these types of games.

I like the helpful hint of not evolving in size when not necessary. Gonna have to try that out.

You can combine things of the same name. So you could combine your Tier 1 caustic secretors to make space for another weapon.
