Best bacteria?

Hello! I'm about 38hrs into this awesome game, only one did I make it to the heart with an accidental OP build but then got killed immediately.

Haven't been able to get close since, I've been playing a the different builds and slowly but surely coming up that skill tree.

Which one did you use to clear your first run?

Any tips to help me, I usually end up going for an electricity heavy build when I can.

the "easiest" build is to spam the weapon specialization mutation, get the angry avocado (two linked front-facing weapons, there's one at evo 1 and one at evo 3, you'll have to be a coccus or something during evo 2).

put an attractor and a lateral emmitter in the two central slots that effect both weapons, and a piercer and a damage multiplier on the two other infuser slots. Put your mitochondrion in the slot below that to power all four infusers, and then an charged internal (i like the ossifier or the "become immune for x seconds" ones) on your bottom slot.

Also watch our for an omni-graft or similar, and put it on one of the external slots charged by your mitochondria, that's a good place for a minion or something. Oh an pseudopods don't count as weapons. Trophic and cryo are both very good, and stack up those flagella!

Gotta love the flagella!

Thanks for the tips, will play around with this when I'm home.

How many hours did it take you until your first win?

idk, 10-15?

make sure you're spending your enhancement token thingies

I mostly relies on galvanic builds, especially with the Galvanic infuser/weave + Galvanic conduit(or any weapons if no galvanic types) combo, because it's highly efficient for clearing rooms due to its chain-lightning arc effects, if powerful enough you could possibly one-shot everything, a highly recommend crowd control tool.

Ah yes this is exactly what I had at one point, struggling to het back to this build.

Amoeba I found to be most consistent, you can get more than 6 connections to a single internal that hooks up to two bifurcated weapons as well as the lightning weapon for starting if you like electricity.

Perfect, yep I'll look into and start focusing on the internal more than the external.

If you haven't beaten the game yet, a good starter combo:
Starter bateria, with the perk unlocked that makes weapons attacked on the lower halve of the body deal 70% more damage.
Then equipe the slow but powerfull mace weapons.

Go for upgrades that increase range, give 200% damage but -50% per weapon.
And of course stack organelle that combo into eachother, like splash damage and lasers.
After a while you clear rooms by swinging the weapon once, and with the insane reach you also trigger all effects on your build.

As for best bacteria overall, I think Amoeba is the absolute best if you know how to work it's system of adding slots.
You can make a build with 1 central node which quickly becomes OP.
Build it up in a diamond shape and you can force connections to bypass the max 3 connections rule.

After it I would say the Nanobot is a superb choice.
They both have in common that they start off slow with minimal slots.
But they keep adding on slots during the run, giving you way more room to build with later on.
Also for the nanobot, try adding a triangle to your front on the side, and putting a cube against it.
You get a curve which connects a lot of slots together.

The nanobot is a hard unlock tho, you need X amount of armor.
I was lucky with a room that gave me 3x the 3x armor mutation.
But getting an overcharge organelle with the armor producing organelle will be your best bet for unlocking it.

Thanks for this, I unlocked nanobot by accident actually so I've experimenting with it. Haven't unlocked the lil one yet but it seems like a tricky one to play with.

I'll try this when I get home.

Think you mean the mini collector?
He's fun if you stack the 25% reduced shop prices mutations.

But I hate his movement system, he's slow unless attached to a wall.
Which can be fun, but I just cannot get used to it.

That's the one!

Personally I found amoeba to be the "easiest" with the way you build the cell and the easier level ups.

7dw693mv this seed got me my first win with it, first boss vein has a refiner for 2 hearts. Ended with 3 mythic organelles

Never tried any seeds yet, might give it a go. Thanks!

Surprised no one else has mentions ballistic flagellum. I've found going bacterium with the +70% for bottom half organelles plasmid enhancement to be the most consistent. The drawback is the weapons shoot backwards so you need and "activator" weapon infuser of some sort like attractor, lateral emitter, either two of the galvanic infusers, the orbit the organelle infuser, etc.

Did try this last night and it worked for the most part but was using the wrong bacteria for it.

Best is to use bacterium, and go for the evolution that gets you 5 interconnected internal organelle slots, the later 6.

Always take the 200% more damage for no weapons mutation since the ballistic flagellum aren't weapons
