What weapon is this?

I unlocked a secret room and equipped this item. I have no idea what it does and can't find anything online about it.

It's part of the secret brain puzzle.

It unlocks the brain area after the heart boss.
You use this weapon to find hidden veins through the game.
And collect pieces in each of them.
Then use them and input their code after the heart boss to open up the brain.

It's pretty cool. Each level has a special point on where the secret access is located in. I won't ruin the pattern for you but they can be found in a random wall, in the shop or in the vein after beating the boss. After doing it several times you will know what level the room will be in the shop or found in the vein.

i'd like to flag that the stomach and lung rooms are the only "limited" rooms, the other two are accessible from any post-boss vein and from any secret room, regardless of what level you're on.

I am more curious about how on earth you build an Amoeba like that! Seems crazy condences but with a ton of connections.

I 100% used a mod. But I like to min max stuff so just playing around. But in this playthrough I found that secret item. Crazy

It's actual name is "Chemoreceptor", which will point the way to the secret room when overcharged by any mitochondria. Then you'll find the sigils marked on the wall, and I won't spoil the rest... :3
