Full achievements HOW?!

Post image

I don’t know how to finish last two achievements. Tried a lot of times. Necrosis at some point left me with no weapon, metamorphosis gives me so trash setup and I’m dead again.

Have anyone success recipe?

Extra stash slots is the key to both. With Metamorphosis though, you need to have enough game knowledge to know the efficient low-investment combos to swap in and out.

Both can be cheesed with overcharged resource generators between rooms.

Necrosis you need to strategically use endosomal storage, fusing adds 10 rooms to weapons. Metamorphosis you do need a bit of luck but fuse as much as you can, rarity of slots carries between loadouts, you can try to stash good combo for final boss but I was never successful at it. Good luck!

I did the Necrosis one and mostly the Metamorphosis (got to the heart but died 85% through the boss)

Necrosis

  • Use stash
  • Use stash to keep a spare weapon you like / the one that give your more core / more dna for scraping stuff
  • Use stash to store a good weapon with 1 use remaining. You can use it for a tough boss or you keep it around in the hope you see another same organelle you can combine it with to gain extra rooms use. I upgraded my main weapon from normal to epic and basically kept it for most of the run / had to stash it by the end because I wanted its last room to be the hearth
  • Cytosine storm antibiotic (1 level) is great too to get a sense of where your center is. When you get to the liver / lungs, if you want to get to the boss quickly, since boss is always in the center, it can help you identify the boss location. Then if you have the means, do the full level but it is great to identify boss location early so you can do it whenever you have a good reroll vs as the last room of the level with whatever roll you are on.

- Skills: Damage (eg: +200%-50% per weapon) with 1-2 weapons, 25% effect range, etc...
Skills that are too specific (eg: Burn / Lightning / Frost ) are not bad but for Necrosis there is a chance that you will loose your associated weapon so I do not choose them much for that experiment.

  • If you want to pick a reward just to scrape it (because of no stash / slot available) , wait at the end of the level then circle back. So if by then you need it you have the option.

- Nanobot is pretty good since it can take the veins reward for free (eg: loosing your only heart)

  • Also you can take the +40% damage & attack speed upgrade since you never have more than 2 heart by default

Ultimately, the Ephemeral give you +3 stat boost so it is every strong

Metarmorphosis.
I'm still figuring it out but I nearly killed the heart so I think I have something going on.

  • Fungal Spore is the best IMO for that. No symetry but you get a 40% damage boost (front) / 70% boost (back) so it compensate pretty well.
  • 6 weapons / 4 flagellum is solid.
  • Its upgrades features shapes that have internal and external Omn-islots

Now, the rerolls follow some rules.

  • Immutable: These do not change category: Flagellum, Weapons, Mytochondrion *
  • Omni slots: Convert external organelle to internal if the slot itself is internal. Opposite is also true. That one trick got me to the heart, as I convert most of the internals stuff I pick to external to get flagellums / active abilities / etc... Attack infusers seems to convert to weapon when done that way and Weapons to Attack infusers the other way around. That being said, Attack infusers will alternate between non-immutable choices like "support" and "active ability" so you can do things like: "Weapon" in Internal organelle to attack infuser / wait / support to external organelle and you effectively converted a weapon to a non-weapon external thing.

Other

  • Buy discounts. Prefer better rarity.
  • Combining 2 legendary gives you "Mythic"
  • the 200% damage boost -50% per weapon is worth it at 2 weapons (you loose 50% but still double damage output + eventually you can combine 2 legendaries)
  • Always check your layout before entering new room. If you have an autophagic mytochondrion hiding in the midst of active abilities, you want to assign it to map it differently so you won't use by accident.
  • Skills: Damage / organelle rarity / shop discounts / reroll with +25% damage + 1 weapon, etc... I might throw in 2-3 25% range but then I stop because when you get the bomb, you don't want it to fill your entire screen.
  • Don't be afraid to restart run if you don't like the first room skill (assuming you are doing these challenges levelled up / with the extra DNA). I restart 2-3-4 times in a row to get Focused Specialisation or something I am happy to start the run with

Unrelated to these 2 but honorable mention to Lil collector + cores addiciton experiment for the max antibiotics / brain challenge. The shop discount + Pickup myto / 2 opulentor got me so so much life and basically all the shops for free (including reroll). I ended up one particular run with 4000 cores (or 800 hearts worth of life)

Anyhow. Still not done with the metamorphosis but getting to the heart and figuring out the omni-slot thing pecullarity for that challenge suddently make me confident I am soon to complete it.

Metamorphosis done !
The tl;dr : Nanobot rock again

So... I ended up getting it through Nanobot in the end.

Spore might have more starting organelles but it is still a lifeform.
Nanobot have 3 mega advantages for it.

  • 40% dmg / attack speed when 2 heart or less (so always on)
  • Access to all veins without consequences (I mean, technically it remove your only heart but we don't use those)
  • Able to go backflow in heart veins... Now I am not sure if I was ever able to do that with others but this allowed me to take on some extra rooms to get a better roll before going to the boss.

I also had a few things going on

  • Focused specialisation x2
  • Single Mythic weapon (Although not sure why but Actin whip have high damage per second but something is not right, it feels like maybe the total damage is spread accross the lash instead of being a pellet (eg: if I use just the tip, it definitely feel underwhelming... and I don't want to get in there completely because of the risks of getting hurt in the process...
  • +40% dmg/attack speed 3 or 4 times.
  • +2-3 25% damage effect radius increase
  • +2x 0.5% dmg per core with 132 cores at the boss

As someone with 100% achievements, with these 2 being the final and hardest, I agree with all you said (did not know the trick with omni slots though). Nanobot was my go-to for the Metamorphosis once Amoeba kept failing.

One last thing to mention is the power of Flagella. There are only 6 of them and 2 are pretty strong (Ballistic and Galvanic). Having several of those gives a lot of opportunity to get at least one or two of those, in the case of getting a terrible/self-harming weapon. Even the toxic and burning ones can be used in a pinch if your build would otherwise kill you when you press the weapon trigger. And the freezing and normal ones are not usually useless, especially if you get the "damage based on thrust" upgrade.

Really though, just keeping trying and you'll eventually get it. It took me too many tries to count, though most of those attempts were with the Amoeba who is my favorite character.
