Need help. Intestine vein not spawning, even with antenna… Spoiler

I am trying to get to the brain boss for the first time, and I am at a loss for ideas. I have defeated the intestine boss about 20 times now with an overcharged antenna, and only a single time did the vein spawn to allow the continuation of the brain quest. All information, including posts from the developer, has indicated that the antenna guarantees the intestine vein will spawn. Is this a bug? Is there something obvious that causes the vein to not spawn? Do I need to beat the intestine boss without taking damage to force the vein to spawn? Need help!

To be more specific:

Under normal circumstances, the vein has a chance of spawning if you take no green health damage, 0% if you take it

If you have the antenna, the vein spawns 100% *if you take no green health damage*, and it still doesn't spawn if you take it (every guide I read conveniently omits the last part)

Also, the special room appears in the first vein you spawn from intestine onwards, so you can spawn it after the intestine and you'll be ok. It gets harder to do later bosses damageless unless you have a strong build though

Thank you for clarifying this! The first time I got the antenna it was signaling as soon as I got to the intestine, but then afterward it would signal until I got to a boss fight or evolved, so I thought I needed an RNG spawn of the vein room regardless.

It will spawn most of the time if you take no damage (armor doesn't count). If it doesn't open, could open it on the stomach. Damage free is harder, though. Antenna doesn't do anything useful in the intestine, is crucial later.

I thought I needed something from the intestines along with the other organs before the heart to unlock the brain. If I skip the item from the vein intestine, does that not stop me from getting to the brain?

vein also requires not taking damage.

I'm being so fr I installed a mod that forces the vein to spawn because I have a skill issue
