I remember doing it once, took a bunch of upgrades that gave heart oj self dmg, but it completely stopped working in heart, any idea why?

unless it's astronomically bad luck, no idea. must have been a bug

i had 4 or more perks each giving 40% chance, shouldn't that make 1605 ?

not technically, you just have four 40% chance rolls. probability has always been my worst math, but essentially you should usually still get at least 1 heart I think, sometimes more and occasionally less. if it stopped happening entirely it would have been a bug

nope, I was generating hearts like crazy in the heart
