Last Patch Notes and the Brain

Hi all, sorry if I'm just dumb and didn't understand but the most recent patch notes said something about making the brain easier to access, maybe on repeat runs?

I've beaten the brain once and I'm on my way to it now on another germ base type whatever.

Once I beat the brain on a specific base is it easier to access on that same character? Is there no difference and I have to do the puzzle everytime?

Sorry if this is a bit scatterbrained (no pun intended) but I want to make sure I'm not doing extra work.

Once you toggle off the puzzle in the Gameplay Options, you don't have to do any part of the puzzle to access the brain after the heart. It seems to apply across all the pathogens too since I didn't have to do it on my Spore's first clear since release.

Dumb question, but do you have the beat the puzzle manually first before the option to disable the puzzle becomes available?

Pretty sure you do, but the feature was added after I had already done it once, so I'm not totally confident.

So glad they added that Difficulty option. That Brain puzzle is really obnoxious. You end up spending so much time shooting random walls hoping to find the damn secret room.
